19.01.2022 Sunday was a perfect day for our 'Paddle and Pancakes' open day. The rain cleared up long enough for almost three boat-loads of Griffins and guests to enjoy a great paddle out to Springbank Island and back. AND who could forget the delicious pancakes and fruit salad brunch! Thanks to the wonderful organisers and all who came along.

07.01.2022 Join us for our 'Paddle and Pancakes' Open Day The Canberra Griffins Dragon Boat Club is holding a 'Come and Try' day on Sunday 1 November from 9.30-11.30am. After a brief introduction to dragon boating and quick warm up, we will paddle out to Springbank Island where we will cook up some brunch and relax, before returning to Louts Bay.... Potential paddlers will have the chance to experience dragon boating in a fun and friendly environment and have the opportunity to talk with current paddlers to get a real feel for what is involved in the sport. Location: Lotus Bay (next to the Yacht Club). Date: 1 November 2020. Time: 9.15am for a 9.30am start, returning to Lotus Bay at around 11.30am. What to bring: A water bottle, cheap sunnies and a hat, clothes you don't mind getting a bit wet and closed-in water or running shoes. We provide: The boat, a paddle, a PFD, a trained sweep, a boat load of fun and brunch. If you would like to join us for a free Paddle (and brunch), please email [email protected].
