21.01.2022 Welcome to the New Year! Wishing you happiness and health in 2021, we can't wait to share new adventures with our amazing community this year.

19.01.2022 The CFMEU ACT has been a great supporter of paediatric patients through the Foundation for many years. Their flag design competition gives children the opportunity to show off their artistic skills and design a special CFMEU flag, which is sold amongst members to raise funds. Congratulations to Joe - the winner of this year's competition! Joe's awesome design will now be flying across worksites Canberra-wide.... This morning Joe was awarded the special flag with his design, and we gratefully accepted a donation of $10,000 which will help paediatric patients in hospital or receiving treatment. Thankyou to the CFMEU ACT and all members for your constant support and generosity! See more

19.01.2022 A huge congratulations to Mrs Sotiria Liangis OAM AM who yesterday was appointed a member of the Order of Australia for significant services to community through philanthropic support initiatives. The Foundation has witnessed first-hand the impact of Mrs Liangis’ generosity, with paediatric patients being the core beneficiaries of her support for over a decade. Through donations in excess of $1.3 million, Mrs Liangis has supported state of the art equipment, the development o...f facilities that encourage healing and tranquillity, and life-changing programs such as the Whole Nine Months. Thank you Mrs Liangis for your kindness toward supporting our youngest patients in hospital.

16.01.2022 A message from CEO Helen Falla... "...we could not do what we do without your kindness, help and support..." https://loom.ly/T9p6etk

16.01.2022 May the happiness of the holiday season be yours! From all of us to all of you, we send our thanks for your support during this very challenging year and our best wishes for a wonderful festive season celebrating with your loved ones. Canberra Hospital Foundation will reopen on January 13, 2021.

12.01.2022 Last week we held a morning tea for members of our crafting community to say ‘Thank You’ for the care and love they display through their donations for patients throughout Canberra Health Services. Maureen O’Brien, Palliative Care Clinical Nurse Consultant from the Community Care Program came along to address the community, and share stories about the impact of the donations. "As you stitch, pin and click away, do you know you are giving of yourself and giving strength t...o the recipients of your craft? said Maureen in a moving speech to our guests. It is clear to us nurses that the teddies, and other goods we receive, reflect facets of their creators’ unknown identity. We feel the love, kindness and strength in your work as we offer them to our clients." There was not a dry eye in the house as Maureen went on to say, Your blankets are a symbol of warmth and friendship. When nurses or carers wrap their loved ones in your blankets, it is a real statement of kindness and a demonstration of honour." We couldn't have said it better ourselves. We are so grateful for our crafting community! With special thanks to Hellenic Club and Hobby Sew for supporting the morning tea, and Clinical Musician Alison Ware for sharing her beautiful music.
