25.01.2022 The Committee of Southside Rock'n'Roll Club has decided to reschedule our 30th Anniversary Celebrations. The venues for our 30th Anniversary events, other band nights, lessons and social dancing have been closed as recommended by the ACT Government. We hope to reschedule the 30th Anniversary events in the spring once venues have reopened. Anyone who has purchased tickets for the 30th Anniversary may either keep their ticket to use for the rescheduled event or request a refu...nd. Refund requests should be emailed to the Club Treasurer, Kim Marshall [email protected] Please include your BSB, account name and account number to receive a refund. We are also cancelling the planned dance with Roc A Tac on 20 June and all lessons and Sunday social dancing and practice until at least 30 June 2020. We will be staying in touch through our Facebook page and newsletters. We will restart our lessons and social events as soon as it is safe to do so we will inform members as soon as we schedule events. 21.01.2022 Lots of dancing opportunities this weekend! Hit Makers 4 are playing tonight from 7:30 at the Harmonie German Club. Intermediate jive is starting tomorrow, 2pm at the Austrian Club in Mawson, followed by our usual Sunday social from 3-5pm.

We ask that people please refrain from attending classes and social events if: - You have any flu-like symptoms, including fever, cough, or difficulty breathing... - You returned from travel in the last 3 weeks or have visited an area with sustained local transmission (not just a travel ban/warning). - You have had contact with a person currently under investigation for COVID-19, or who is a confirmed case of COVID-19 - Please reconsider your attendance if you or someone you have contact with is in an at- risk group, including if you/they are immunocompromised. If you are healthy and do attend classes, a social or event, please wash, wash, WASH YOUR HANDS . The best way is with soap and water. 13.01.2022 The Committee of Southside Rock'n'Roll Club have been monitoring the current situation and advice from government on social contact and corona virus. Regretfully we have decided to cancel our dance with Andy and the Cruisers on Saturday 21 March. We will try to reschedule the band at a later date. After consultation with our volunteer teachers we have decided to suspend our dance lessons and Sunday social and practice until further notice. Members who have prepaid for lessons... will be contacted to organise refunds or credits for future lessons. We have not yet made any decision on the 30th Anniversary functions on 1-3 May. We will let you know what is happening as soon as we make a decision. We hope to restart lessons and Sunday practice in May. Changes will be posted on Facebook and our website and all members will receive notice via email.
