24.01.2022 This week 7-13 September is Include a Charity Week. Each year we receive a significant proportion of our funds from gifts in Wills, and these generous gifts are vital to the research that is critical to achieving the cancer free future we all want. Once you have taken care of those you love, any gift no matter the size, even 1% of your estate can make a huge difference to the organisations closest to your heart. When you next update your Will, #includeacharity #cancercouncilnsw

14.01.2022 Fun Fact Friday! still the same sun!!! Did you Know?? This week is "National Skin Cancer Action Week" (15-21 November, 2020)... Australia has one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the world. Every year in Australia skin cancers account for around 80% of all newly diagnosed cancers. Around 2000 people die from skin cancer every year. However, more than 95% of skin cancer cases are caused by unprotected exposure to UV radiation from the sun, meaning it is a nearly entirely preventable cancer. Each year Cancer Council Australia and the Australasian College of Dermatologists come together for National Skin Cancer Action Week. This is an important reminder to use sun protection and of the importance of early skin cancer detection for all Australians. " Slip, Slop Slap, Seek , Slide" , this is the time to stop cancer is before it starts. Let’s make the future cancer free. https://youtu.be/b7nocIenCYg
