25.01.2022 We’re facing a drop of more than $20 million in funding to help people impacted by cancer, due to COVID-19. By holding a garage sale or market stall to sell something, you'll help us continue to provide our vital research and services to the people who need it most. Cleanse your wardrobe or declutter your garage. Whatever you choose to sell we’ll be here to help make your big sale a BIG success. Register now!

24.01.2022 Well done to the organisers and artists who participated in this event.

23.01.2022 This week is NAIDOC Week! Our staff and volunteers across the state will recognise and respect this week's significance to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander... peoples, through participating in activities within their local community. We’re proud to announce that last month our Reconciliation Action Plan was officially endorsed by Reconciliation Australia. We are committed to reconciliation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through creating a culturally safe and responsive organisation. We encourage Aboriginal communities and healthcare providers in NSW to visit our website for more information about cancer treatment, support and research for Aboriginal people, here:https://bit.ly/34Vo2oD #NAIDOC2020 #AlwaysWasAlwaysWillBe See more

17.01.2022 Kids these days will never understand the pain of rewinding VHS tapes before taking them back to the video store! Things have definitely changed since the 80’s, but this National Skin Cancer Action Week we’re reminding Aussies that it’s still the same sun. Whenever the UV index is 3 or above, you need to Slip, Slop, Slap, Seek and Slide. Post your favourite ‘80s movies below!

Research has shown that there are risk factors that increase the likelihood of developing pancreatic cancer, such as: Smoking Ageing... Type 2 diabetes Obesity Pancreatitis Certain types of cysts in the pancreatic duct Drinking too much alcohol Family history and certain inherited conditions Pancreatic cancer often only shows symptoms when it is advanced or affects nearby organs. 08.01.2022 The theme for #NAIDOC this year is Always Was, Always Will Be. The Cancer Institute NSW stands with our First Nations people in recognising and celebrating our country's rich cultural history. We are committed to helping communities put their health first. This year we want to encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 5074 to participate in the National Bowel Screening Program. Detecting cancer early is important, and the simple test arrives in the post and can be done from home.
