25.01.2022 More sad plastic, this suction motor was cooked by a small plastic cup falling into the ventilation fan of this suction blower.

25.01.2022 Long day at the office, second last chair delivery for the day.

24.01.2022 Needed a 40 mm elbow a little more than 90 degrees and during Christmas break, needs must. Looks like a Copper prawn I reckon.

24.01.2022 Blower motor imprint provided by someone that decided the motor shouldn't sit on the wooden base, so instead its melted a plastic and foam tray. Somehow it didnt ignite. Note its also melted the air line and power cord.. I can guess who did this...

23.01.2022 This magnificent CJ optics microscope will be a great asset for this new West Oz Endodontics practice. Such a pleasure to help out micromed International and be the plan B.

22.01.2022 A few clues why this does not work well

21.01.2022 Today's challenge, put the acrid Brown smoke back into this ultrasonic scaler. Added challenge is that it also supplies the suction system and the fibre optics.

19.01.2022 Looks like a new podiatry chair, thanks to Damien

19.01.2022 Advanced Dental services has changed faces.

18.01.2022 A bit of a cable and camera tidy up to create a 3D intra oral scanner work bench for a great customer. Looking up from the floor

17.01.2022 Even brand new hose can fail. Luckily only a small flood before quick acting staff shut down the unit and saved the day

13.01.2022 This weekends jigsaw puzzle brought to me by Cattani Turbo smart and Dr NC.

13.01.2022 It's been bit of a microscope year this year with more than our fair share of major microscope jobs.

13.01.2022 When you cant see around corners or feel how it comes apart. Aahhh, the old red plastic clip trick.

11.01.2022 Water adder to help solve smelly drain issues

11.01.2022 Just in case you have a square bum, you're being looked after.

10.01.2022 It's almost still running, well its not actually doing what its supposed to.

10.01.2022 Too much spaghetti for late on a friday night. Hopefully this isnt a sign for the full weekend of jobs ahead

10.01.2022 Plenty of headaches hidden in this carefully upcycled adec light including flipping it all upside down and hanging it instead of it standing built into cabinetry

09.01.2022 Very close call. A customer's suction exhaust hose collapsed and started to toast their recently rebuilt blower motor. Luckily shaved the melted bits off and it seems to have survived. Still quiet and appears well balanced, miracle.

08.01.2022 This weekends design and build

08.01.2022 Making a tough job tougher. Tiny 1 mm Allen keys holding this camera together. The manufacturer snapped off their key in one of them. Lots of tricks to get the tiny grub screw out, flip it round and drill through the grub from the back and push out the stump of the 1mm key. Repair camera reassemble and even use the grub screw

07.01.2022 Before and after images, the green part is suppose to float freely.

07.01.2022 While making an adaptor for a light post, really glad I reacted the right way to pick up a tool to flick off the swarf. I've seen the results of machinists making a poor choice

07.01.2022 A project that completely disguises how horrendously complex it was. A bespoke build of a suction system, a spitoon with drain valve and assistants arm. There is no way I could ever charge the customer for even a fraction of the labour that has gone into this

06.01.2022 Noisey fan has stopped being noisey, pity about the compressor it was cooling.

06.01.2022 This is what they sound like just before they completely fail.

05.01.2022 Do you think the water reservoir needed a clean

03.01.2022 So why do manufacturers make things difficult. There are dozens of brands of piezoelectric scalers. Some have male threaded tips and others female threaded tips. There are atleast 4 different female threaded tips, all close enough to ruin each others handpieces.
