Thats what prevents matting! Jackie gets groomed regularly so that help a alot! Brushing your dog is great, but for those poodle type haired dogs, a visit to the groomers is vital! 03.01.2022 Finally, we the family are in a position to provide an update on Jessica. By way of a background, back on the 8th of November Jessica presented to the Northern Hospital by ambulance due to severe thunderclap headaches accompanied with vomiting. She had a clear CT scan and was sent home. She then attended the Austin Hospital for the same symptoms and sadly on the 11th of November she suffered a significant hemorrhagic stroke. Unbeknown to the medical team she had an underl...ying condition called Reversible Cerebral Vasoconstriction Syndrome. This meant that two days later she suffered additional ischemic strokes as a consequence. Jessica was on full life support for two weeks and since sedation was lessened things have been bumpy. She contracted meningitis and had brain fluid leaking from her operation wound. She has since had a permanent shunt put into her brain to capture this excess fluid. As a consequence of her strokes, Jessica has suffered full left side paralysis. She is now in a position to be transferred to a physical rehabilitation centre to help her regain her physical function. Unfortunately Jessica will not be in a position to resume grooming in the immediate future as she will be in therapy for at least six months. We thank you for your ongoing support and understanding.
