25.01.2022 Sprint Night programs are now in your emails inbox, please check and print out for tomorrow night racing or keep handy on your phone. We are using a new system with the programs to be COVID safe and reducing the environment by not printing ourselves. Tomorrow night we have a special raffle that will run of the last two nights of swim club and prizes will be announced break up night 4th of December winners will need to be present. Tickets are $2 per entry or 3 for $5, they can... be purchased at the BBQ area. Prizes include meat tray, $100 Rebel Voucher, $50 Rebel Voucher, Slime Kit and Cannon Hill Swim club Towel. We are looking forward to seeing our Mighty dolphins race tomorrow night and in the running of winning medals, doing personal best and having fun. 24.01.2022 Love swim club as much as the committee does? So why not be a part of the club and become a volunteer on the committee. During the season we meet once a month, you can just be part of the committee or take on a role! We need new volunteers to help run the club this year. So come along to our AGM on Sunday 2nd of August 3pm venue to be confirmed. Put in your diary! Venue details to come!

24.01.2022 What a night with the Mighty Dolphins, presentations of Club Captains congratulations to Tia and Rhys our club captains and vice captains Madi and Liam. A special thanks to Di presenting the badges last night on the eve of an election. Di Farmer also unveil our sign to recognise a life member Graeme Parnwell who was instrumental in establishing the bbq area. Thanks Graeme for all you have done. In return we presented Di a Cannon hill swim towel to say thank you for all you have done for the Cannon Hill Swim Club your support is so appreciated.. Special occasion at the Mighty dolphins. Also a big thanks to all our swimmers who dressed up for Halloween it was great

23.01.2022 We want you! Come and be a part of the amazing Mighty Dophlins Cannon Hill Swim Club Committee. Our Annual General Meeting is being held next Sunday 2nd of August at 3pm at our Club room and stand area at the St Oliver Plunkett School Swimming Pool on Stanton street. Come and be part of a great, social, caring and fun committee. Commitment to the committee is 6 -7 meetings during the season and then helping out on Friday night club nights in terms 4 and 1 of the school term and season. We have some positions that are need to be filled with new members as past members have stood down. We will help support you in any role and guide you. 20.01.2022 Hi to all our Mighty Dolphins, Parents and Caregivers, Firstly, what a great day we had at Club Champs on Sunday. It was good to see all the kids swimming their best, having fun and achieving some big PB’s. Thanks to all the Committee and Volunteers who helped make the day run smoothly, your help is very much appreciated. With the ever changing circumstances surrounding COVID-19 and the guidance from the Government regarding isolation strategies and avoiding the gathering of ...people for not-vital events, the Committee has come to the difficult decision to end the season now. This was a tough decision and not one taken lightly however the safety of our community and swim club families is very important to us. There will be no swim club for the remainder of the season. At this stage our Trophy Presentation Night on 16th May will remain as planned however we will confirm closer to the time. We are fortunate to have completed our Club Championships last week and we can proceed with trophy calculations as normal. We thank you for your understanding. 15.01.2022 What an amazing night! The storm stopped the races but not the enthusiasm of the Cannon Hill mighty dolphins in welcoming Cate Campbell Australian World Record Holder who swims 50 and 100m freestyle to our Friday night swim club. Thanks to our captains Lilly, Hannah, Kai and Bodie and Riley in welcoming her and all the swimmers who had their photos and got her autograph. You did us proud! 15.01.2022 Happy End of Season, tonight we would of celebrated the break night, fun races, parent races and given out our club championship plagues to all our 12 and over swimmers! Instead we can celebrate at home practicing safe distance and looking after our family. I would like to give a big shout out to all the committee members who set up and ran and produced an amazing season. With these volunteers the club would not run. A big thank you to all parents and guardians who bought yo...ur amazing mighty dolphins swimmers along each week for Friday night clubs night, our two carnivals and Southside carnival. So proud of all our swimmers being part of an amazing club. The season ended early than we wanted but what an amazing season we have had! One to remember where you swam PB, tried your best, hung out with friends, made new ones, enjoyed the BBQ and famous pancakes, cheered on and supported your fellow mighty dolphins. I am proud of our club and the community we have! A special thanks to two of our committee members who are standing down Brad Jones our referee who has been with the club for over 10 years and to Jonathan our chief timekeeper who has been with the club for over 6 years! 13.01.2022 Week 3 at the Cannon Hill Swim Club, well done to all our swimmers. Welcome to our new members, lots of great swimming last night. The BBQ sold out thanks for the bread Brumby's Cannnon Hill, pancakes were a hit! Great raffle prizes from The Blue Poppy and Friendly Grocer Molloy Road. 13.01.2022 So that’s a wrap on the first half of the season and we are so proud of the Cannon Hill swim Club swimmers and families in being supportive in our return and being COVID safe! Thank you! A fun night was had with our break up night, with Paella a hit, thank you Rod for making it was delicious! The fun part of the night the relay races was a close finish! Fun was had by all! The Dad’s parent race saw some of our new members Dad have a swim and now this race has been the talk of the hill! Congrats to Peter D, Julian and Seaton on winning and then placing! BBQ challenge in March will be highly contested! Finally Santa popped in and provide joy to so many! We wish our Cannon Hill mighty dolphins and families a very happy and Merry Xmas and prosperous new year and we look forward to seeing you all back on Friday 29th January 2021!

12.01.2022 Congratulations to all our Mightly Dolphins we look forward to seeing you all on Saturday to present your trophies to you. Please ensure you read your email and below on how the presentation are proceeding. As you are aware, the Qld Government imposed new restrictions for gatherings and events which will affect our Trophy Presentation Night. The Committee met last night to discuss the restrictions and how to proceed without causing any further delays on presenting the trophi...es to our swimmers for the 2019/20 season. After much discussion, it was agreed we would still hand out the trophies to each swimmer however in a different format than originally planned. We kindly ask all swimmers to come along to the pool on Saturday 29th August at designated times to receive their trophies, have their photos taken and depart the pool area. This will ensure we are keeping in line with Government requirements of being COVID safe. Attached is a list of the 2019/20 Season Trophy Winners. Please come along with only one parent and the swimmers (no other siblings) to receive trophies on the below times: 5:00pm 5:30pm 5-7yrs 5:30pm 6:00pm 8yrs 11yrs 6:00pm 6:30pm 12yrs and over We understand there are families with different age groups and are happy for them to come together at a time that suits. (If you are feeling unwell or have any symptoms please stay home). Please enter via the main gate where names will be marked off and hand sanitiser provided, the trophies will be set up alongside the pool and presented to the swimmers, photos will be taken at the far end of the pool and exit through the BBQ area. On behalf of the Committee I would like to congratulate all our swimmers on a great season and hope that we can all get together again for the upcoming season when we will have a COVID Safe Plan in place. We look forward to everyone returning for another great 2020/21 season, details for the registrations will be forwarded in due course. 08.01.2022 What an awesome result at Southside carnival today. So many personal bests, amazing and great sportsmanship, and medals won. Well done mighty dolphins on amazing swimming and to cap it off we won the club points champion perpetual trophy! We also had swimmers in the Skins races, and well done to Rhys (50m) and Jacob (25m) in winning, Kobe and Chloe (25) in coming third. Thanks to all swimmers who participated and parents who helped timekeeper and for Hannah, Maddie, Liam and Rhys marshaling the swimmers, Annette who helped in the office. So proud of this amazing club.
