"We are so lucky to live in Australia as it has some of the best views of the Milky Way on earth. We can see the most impressive part of the Milky Way most nights of the year and now is the best time for photographing it. ... My challenge to you is to photograph a nightscape that includes the Milky Way core and a foreground subject. It can be a nice field, a great rock formation, a man made object or even a human figure. 14.01.2022 #CANONCHALLENGE - As the weathers warming up we are sure many of you are eager to head to the beach and capture some shots of our beautiful Australian coastline. So this weeks Canon Challenge comes from community member Cru Scanlan - Photography - Slow Shutter Speed Seascape Photography I personally love to use slow shutter speeds to capture the water flow of waves as they crash against the shore. It helps to create a sense of motion in the image and simplify the scene of... distracting elements. The key is to find an exposure length that smooths out the texture of the water surface without losing the definition of the waves.
