23.01.2022 Remembrance Day 11 November 2020 At CCCCC we remember those brave enough to serve our country. Our children made poppies, listened to their teacher talk about the meaning of Remembrance Day and watched a video. The children and educators observed a minutes silence to remember those who served our country during the war.

21.01.2022 Yesterday the children at Canterbury Community Child Care Centre participating in a beautiful craft project to recognise National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day on the 4th August 2020. The children enjoyed being engaged in the experience together. We recognise that all children are unique and special this week as we celebrate children’s week.

19.01.2022 Happy Mother’s Day to all our beautiful mothers and grandmothers. We hope you have a wonderful Mother’s Day. You all deserve to be celebrated! The children at preschool have been very busy making some beautiful plaster cast handprints for their mums. We hope you enjoy decorating your home with them



18.01.2022 Canterbury Community Child Care Centre children and educators have had a wonderful start to 2021. The children have been settling in well. Children have been engaged in loose parts play, planting and growing and we have a fantastic new mud kitchen that has been an amazing addition to our beautiful outdoor environment. Our bush tucker plants are also in full bloom we look forward to a year of learning and preparing our children for formal school with confidence.

17.01.2022 INTERNATIONAL FIREFIGHTERS’ DAY- May 4th The children and educators at Canterbury Community CCC would like to thank our firefighters who dedicate their lives to protect our lives and property every day

15.01.2022 This week the children at Canterbury Community CCC have enjoyed a community walk. The children enjoyed discovering interesting things around our neighbourhood. We were greeted by neighbourhood pets, watched bees collect pollen, identified street signs and house numbers, we saw lots of flowering plants and even fruit trees. There are many sights to explore when you go for a neighbourhood walk.



14.01.2022 Yoga practice at preschool At CCCCC we regularly practice yoga which provides children with a range of physical, spiritual and mental relaxation. We know that when children practice yoga it increases their confidence, builds concentration and strengthens growing bodies. We believe yoga inspires our preschoolers to be kind, patient, accepting and empathetic with themselves and their peers!

14.01.2022 NAIDOC WEEK 2020 from 8-15 November. At Canterbury Community Child Care Centre we celebrated the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. The children participated in story time, discussions and art experiences throughout the week.

10.01.2022 Canterbury Community Child Care Centre children, educators and families support and celebrate National reconciliation week. ( 27th May - 3rd June). The children enjoyed participating in various experiences in celebration of the theme In this together The experiences enjoyed by the children have including painting, music, books, exploring aboriginal artefacts such as boomerangs, didgeridoos, tapping sticks and artwork. The children have also cared for our bush tucker plants in our outdoor environment. It had been a very busy week at the preschool but lots of fun!

08.01.2022 At CCCCC the children have enjoyed many pre-reading and pre- writing activities which are part of our holistic school readiness program. Our program aims to support children develop confidence and independence prior to starting school which we believe helps build a solid foundation for formal learning.



05.01.2022 As it is the last week of Term 3 CCCCC celebrated by having a Teddy Bears Picnic on Tuesday 22nd and Thursday 24th of September. We made Teddy Bear puppets, Teddy Bear ears and played in a cozy area on the fort with our Teddy Bears/soft toys. We were excited to bring and show our Teddy Bears/soft toys what our preschool looks like and all the fun activities we do. We had Teddy Bears everywhere. The children were also involved in a cooking experience and made some yummy bana...na cookies to share during our Teddy Bears picnic. We shared a story called Teddy Bears Picnic at quiet time and later we enjoyed a special treat and had some ice cream for afternoon tea. Hope you all have a safe and fun holiday. 04.01.2022 End of year Celebrations The children and educators enjoyed celebrating the final week of preschool. The children enjoyed great food, dancing and spending time having fun with their preschool friends. We wish all our preschoolers who are beginning their journey to formal education all the best. They will be missed! We look forward to seeing many of our families return in 2021. Happy and safe holidays from all the educators at CCCCC.

03.01.2022 We would like to thank some of our families for providing the staff with yummy morning tea. We continue to work hard during these uncertain times and to be appreciated by our families shows what a wonderful, kind and supportive community we have. THANK YOU!!!

01.01.2022 Canterbury Community Child Care Centre has a beautiful new Fairy Garden thanks to the effort of one of our lovely mums who has worked hard to make our garden look amazing!
