25.01.2022 Dear Capalaba parkrunners, It’s been a while. We’re sorry we haven’t been there for you over these last few months. It’s been a difficult time for us and well, frankly we’ve just not been able to give you what you need. I know you desperately wanted to be with us and we wanted that to, but it just couldn’t happen! Until now. We’ve been working on ourselves and we’re ready to get back together and maybe, just maybe, you feel the same way! We understand that we’ve neglec...ted you and you may have found yourself a replacement love and as much as that would hurt, we want you to know that you can come back any time. We’ll be ready for you...specifically at 7am on the 28th November and if that doesn’t suit, then every Saturday from that date on at the same time! We’ll be waiting with open arms..at an appropriate social distance. If you are willing to recommit and give this thing we have a shot, perhaps you could start by helping us fill the empty void in our heart that we call our roster. Here’s the link: https://www.parkrun.com.au/capalaba/futureroster/ We promise to improve our communication and we’ll be reaching out to you more over the coming days until we can see each other again. Until then, think of us fondly and reminisce on all the good times we’ve had together and think of our future where we can build some brand new memories. Affectionately yours, Capalaba parkrun

Results have been processed and photos will be uploaded later today. From Capalaba parkrun thank you for coming today and we look forward to seeing you again soon. 19.01.2022 Happy Easter Capalaba parkrunners. 5 years ago during Easter 2016 we started having a "Kids in charge" event where the regular kids would fill our roster. We thought it would be nice to reminisce and share some of your favourite kids or family moments that you've had at parkrun...so comment below with your memories (pics if you have them). We hope you're enjoying your long weekend and still getting out and doing some exercise. This is not forever, we will get through this ...and we're looking forward to seeing you all on the other side! Happy Easter. Capalaba Event Team
18.01.2022 Capalaba parkrun launched way back on the 30th August 2014 and this coming Saturday we would have been celebrating our 6th anniversary. Unfortunately, as you all know, that isn't going to happen ...and who knows how long until we can all get together again for the parkrun that we all love... As Event Directors of this amazing event we created, Amy and I decided we wouldn't let this date pass unacknowledged. With that in mind we want as many of you as possible to get out a...nd run your own 5km, whenever and wherever you like this week, ideally dressed in one of the theme's from our last 5 anniversaries. You can then take a photo and share in the comments below (or email, or message them to us) and we will create an album so everyone can see. Obviously you will need to be mindful of current Covid restrictions so please don't arrange any group runs that would breach these. Just a reminder, the last five anniversary themes were: **1st (2015) - Clowns **2nd (2016) - Pyjamas **3rd (2017) - Something beginning with 'C' **4th (2018) - Ugly Shirts **5th (2019) - Fluoro Check out the photos below for some inspiration! Hope to see lots of you get involved. Don't forget, you can also upload your run to the (not)parkrun results page by following the instructions here: https://www.parkrun.com.au/capalaba/results/notparkrun/ Have fun Blair and Amy - Event Directors
16.01.2022 Our roster is full except for a photographer. Can you help? We have a fabulous new camera for you to capture all the best bits Capalaba parkrun has to offer. Nice and easy, point and shoot. Who's up for the challenge? Blair and Marina RDs

12.01.2022 It's Friday night when we'd normally all be preparing to catch-up for parkrun tomorrow. As you will likely all know by now parkrun is cancelled until at least the end of April. We're all still been asked to not organise any group runs so please do your bit and run solo...or maybe with 1 friend (but make sure you keep your 1.5m distance). Whatever you do, please be socially responsible and don't risk the health of others...remember it's not about you!... Whatever you get up to, feel free to share in the comments below...look forward to seeing what everyone does. Cheers Blair - ED
