19.01.2022 A burn that cape burney bush fire brigade did in wandina today.

19.01.2022 No matter how small the fire, always always always put your full fire fighting clobber on! That's the message from WA farmer Frank Clune who has just spent the ...last month having painful skin-grafts to treat serious burns to 35% of his body. Most of the burns were between the socks and bottom of his shorts. He got the call about the fire when he was in the middle of mowing the lawn. ‘I didn't think to put my bushfire brigade trousers and coat on.’ ‘I just wanted to get to the fire and put it out.’ But Frank says everyone involved in his recovery has done an awesome job. -All the staff at Fiona Stanley Hospital (‘including the pushy physios who made me move when I didn't want to’) -The Royal Flying Doctor Service who flew him from Geraldton to Perth. -But especially his wife Jo.
