25.01.2022 The students this week in science have worked on a STEM project on the skeletal system. Loving the collaboration and creativity shown by all, as they built their own skeletons from a range of materials!

24.01.2022 Today the P-2 students learnt how to write a procedure, we had lots of fun learning how to properly follow instructions and make a jam sandwich!

23.01.2022 And just like that camp is over. A huge thank you to all students who attended camp. It was amazing to see you all shine while enjoying many new learning experiences and spending time with your friends. Thank you to the staff for all your planning (at short notice), dedication and time you put into making the camp a fantastic experience for all. Here are some more images of the fun had by everyone.

20.01.2022 Today the P-2 students enjoyed working through a fun STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) activity at school. I also think they enjoyed having the playground to themselves!

19.01.2022 Last week the P-3 students participated in a Santa’s Sleigh Design WebEx incursion. Thanks to Ecolinc Science and Technology Innovations Centre our students had the opportunity to design and create sleigh models for Santa to choose from to fly in this year. We hope he likes them!!!

12.01.2022 The time has come! Our new $194,000 Sensory/Inclusive Playground will begin stage 1 works tomorrow, beginning with landscaping and removal of equipment from the site. Due to the pandemic this year both manufacturing and shipping has delayed the start of the project which is now expected to be completed early in Term 1, 2021. Hopefully at this time the students, families and community can all be onsite for a grand opening! From Monday students will be required to be dropped o...ff on the south side of the school, as fencing is being erected tomorrow around the site. This will mean the normal pick up and drop off gate will be blocked for entry (sorry for the late notice as we only heard of this today from the building company). We can’t wait to see the students playing with each other on the new playground and to see the overdue upgrade of the schools play space! See more

11.01.2022 Today Victoria celebrated World Teacher’s Day. World Teachers' Day 2020 celebrated teachers with the theme 'Teachers: leading in crisis, reimagining the future'. At CapeClear PS we thanked the teaching staff today for their continued dedication and passion they have for the job they all love. Each staff member goes over and beyond for all the students in their care. The senior students conducted some interviews with the staff about their experiences of teaching and much more. Thank you to Mrs. Mellusco, Miss. Vear and Mr. Dillon! We hope you enjoyed the day.

11.01.2022 Today, Michaela Settle, the State Member for Buninyong announced to the students that Cape Clear Primary School will be receiving $828,000 in capital works, as announced in the 2020/21 Victorian Budget. We are delighted to have been recognized by the government in this budget and this investment will help ensure our school’s educational vision, direction and aspirations can be fulfilled moving forward. We will be consulting with the school community over the next two weeks via online surveys, to help assist with the designing of facilities that will best support our desired outcomes for our great country school. Exciting times, especially with our Inclusive Playground well underway!!!

07.01.2022 This week the Grade 3-6’s have been reflecting and writing all about camp. It has been great to see our older students assisting the younger students with editing and using some extended vocabulary to describe their experiences.

06.01.2022 Our first sneak peak at the new playground.....lots of work over the last week and now we sit and wait for the playground equipment to arrive! Looking brilliant.

04.01.2022 This week our Junior School Council members for Term 4 were presented with their certificates. The JSC consists of students from Grade 2-6. They play a very important role in the school sharing ideas and opinions of all students, working on new ideas and initiatives within the school and developing their leadership skills. Mrs Mellusco and Jessica coordinate these meetings and assist the students to take action and contribute new ideas and keep the school safe and fun for all students. New members are elected every semester so all students will have the opportunity to be a part of JSC. Congratulations to all students for your ongoing participation throughout the term.

02.01.2022 Today we celebrated students for their amazing work throughout this year. We aren’t able to have assemblies just yet, but we still love celebrating our students amazing achievements. These awards were awarded to students for showing our school values of Confidence, Commitment, Respect and Responsibility. Congratulations to all of the students who received an award today, we look forward to continuing to celebrate these successes in the coming weeks.
