12.01.2022 Posted @withrepost @jessicateresenelson I may be missing out on one of the last weekends of snow (2 more MEd assignment to go!!!!) but what an awesome season it has been! Buying a season pass to @thredboresort this winter brought plenty of opportunities to practice my #emotionalintelligence . Each weekend there were challenges balanced by moments of awe. Overcoming my fears each time to go a little bit faster, try new lines and try a tiny jump or two, I pushed through the ...uncomfortableness and achieved moments of success. Nature and its beauty would ground me and the fresh air cleansed my soul from a busy week of work and study. I used my EQ to develop new relationships with new friends and most importantly loved every minute I got to spent with @mikejrose His energy, optimism and love helped motivate me to get up on those early morning to build my physical and emotional skills - battled my ‘fear brain’. Adventures, challenges and physical activity are wonderful opportunities to grow and develop EQ - get out there! @capitaleqau @mikejrose See more

04.01.2022 Emotional intelligence is one of the most underrated skills for 21st century educators. Despite the growing evidence for supporting student wellbeing, including their social and emotional skills, there is still a lack of useful, effective and evidence based professional learning for teachers based upon developing teacher EQ. In order for educators (like myself) to nourish our student’s social and emotional skills, we must first become aware of and look to practice and develo...p our own EQ. A great way to start is with an EQ Assessment. This FREE mini one will give you an EQ Profile that identifies your strengths within the EQ components as well as possible areas for improvement. It is a great first step in learning, developing and practicing EQ in and out of the classroom. It only takes 15 minutes! And it’s FREE! Get yours now! Link in bio.

02.01.2022 Posted @withrepost @jessicateresenelson I have thought long and hard about.... 1. Getting back into social media after it negatively impacted my life a few years ago. 2. How to best approach it this time to ensure that I am not posting for the wrong reasons or for no reason at all. ... 3. How and when to start and maintain a sustainable balance. To grow as an individual whilst attempting to develop my business goals, I have decided to make my personal account (insta) my EQ Diary. I will aim to share my own experiences in my daily practices of emotional intelligence. I hope that this will not only be a tool for me to reflect regularly on my own personal development but you all may learn a thing or two about EQ as well! Thank you all of my family and friends for your support thus far! Feel free to hop over to @jessicateresenelson to learn from my personal EQ journey! @mikejrose #pigeonhousemountain #emotionalintelligence #eq #canberra #vulnerability #grow #capitaleqau #eqdiary #6secondseq #personaldevelopment See more
