12.01.2022 Zagora je povijesno-zemljopisni kraj u Hrvatskoj, u današnjoj srednjoj te dijelom sjevernoj Dalmaciji (Splitsko-dalmatinska županija i Šibensko-kninska županija...). Obuhvaa prostor tzv. Kaštelanske, Trogirske i šibenske zagore te unešiki dio Drniške krajine. Prostire se izmeu brda: Mosea na sjeveru, i Trtra, Boraje, Opora i Kozjaka, na jugu; te od sela Brštanova, Dugobaba i Radošia na istoku, do rijeke ikole na zapadu. Karakterizira je specifian govor (štokavica-ikavski), koji je nazoan i u susjednoj BiH, te mnogo nepovoljnog zemljišta (krša). Prevladava kontinentska klima sa oštrim i vrlo hladnim zimama te vruim ljetima sa estim lokalnim pljuskovima. Od veih dogaanja u Zagori tu su: sinjska Alka, proslava i hodoaše Velikoj Gospi u Sinju i Zelenoj katedrali u Prološcu, Sajam pršuta u Sinju... Ime Zagore u novije se vrijeme pogrešno poistovjeuje s Dalmatinskom zagorom, koja je sasvim recentan, gospodarsko - razvojni pojam, stvoren nakon u Drugog svjetskog rata, u vrijeme Titove Jugoslavije, kao kontrast pojmu "Splitsko - trogirski industrijski bazen", i to nakon uznapredovalog procesa iseljavanja i osiromašenja srednje kopnene Dalmacije. Zagora, sometimes also called Dalmatian Zagora (Croatian: Dalmatinska Zagora), is the southern inland region of Croatia. The name Zagora means "behind hills", which is a reference to the fact that it is the part of Dalmatia that is not coastal. Zagora, in the strict sense, spans from Šibenik eastern hinterland to east, where it borders with Herzegovina and Livanjski kraj. Its borders are present in two counties: Split-Dalmatia and Šibenik-Knin. The terrain in Zagora is fairly rugged: in the region immediately bordering the coastline, it is mostly flat but dry, mainly covered with makija (maquis, macchia). More inland, there tend to be more greener pastures, as the climate and elevations change. Karst topography dominates the landscape. The land is interspersed with river canyons, of Krka, ikola, Cetina and others. There has also been significant emigration from Zagora overseas, into the Americas and Oceania. A recent spike in depopulation came about during the Croatian War of Independence, during the Serbian invasion of this area. The post-war return of refugees is meager as there continue to be few economic opportunities in the region.

06.01.2022 Grâce à la détermination de l' équipe du Château des Vaux, nous avons pu participer à la journée du patrimoine. Nous étions masqués, mais cela n'empêche pas d'a...pprécier la beauté des mouvements, même si nos sourires ne sont plus visibles. Merci aux danseurs de CHESTNUT d'avoir accepté cette contrainte. Menés par un guide et par groupe de 20 personnes maximum, les gens ont pu visiter le château et nous voir danser dans ce qui fut le salon de musique. De 15h à 18h nous avons interprété 13 danses représentant les quatre grandes périodes de la danse anglaise. Thanks to the staff of the "Château des Vaux" near Chartres, we managed to dance to our heart's content from 3 to 6 pm yesterday. Although wearing a mask as also the public visiting the castle, we managed to present 13 dances taken from the four great periods of the English Countrydances repertoire.
