25.01.2022 Captain Darling Barbershop acknowledges that we stand on the lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, we pay our respect to elders past, present and emerging. On Sunday the 5th July, Jill and Jasper will be will be opening shop for the day and donating 100% of our takings to Black Rainbow. Black Rainbow is a national advocacy platform and touchpoint for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Queer, Transgender, and Intersex (LGBQTI) peoples.... You can find out more at http://www.blackrainbow.org.au/ How this will work; Appointments on the day will operate on a sliding scale starting at a base price of $40 per haircut (this will include kids cuts) Jasper and I will be working a half day each to adhere to social distancing guidelines Bookings essential and will be available online soon, I'll keep you posted. 23.01.2022 The Captain Darling team would like Introduce our newest member of staff Ruben. Ruben recently relocated from NSW to Melbourne and is already proving to be a valued member of our team, taking the pressure of both myself and Jasper. The shop looks spectacular and he has been a lifesaver getting back to all of our clients. He is super friendly and makes everyone feel welcome, I’m sure the lovely Captain Darling community will make him feel just as welcomed. We will be looking for training haircut models soon....if anyone is interested let us know? Welcome to the team Ruben you are rocking it already.

22.01.2022 Hi again everyone, Just wanted to let you all know that I’ve decided to close the shop at least for the next couple of weeks until numbers start to drop. It was an incredibly tough call to make but I just don’t feel comfortable staying open at this time with the number of cases still on the rise. It’s not worth risking it. ... 15.01.2022 To all of our valued customers, I hope everyone is keeping safe and hanging in there throughout this crazy time. Just thought I’d give you all an update on what’s going on after the announcement yesterday. Unfortunately it looks like we won’t be able to reopen again until at least the 26th October. ... We miss you all and I can’t wait to be back at the shop and keeping busy...however, I completely understand the need for these restrictions to prevent a 3rd wave occurring. 11.01.2022 Hello to all of our valued clients. Myself and Jasper Julz are excited to announce that we will be reopening as of tomorrow. We will be spacing out appointments to ensure we have enough time to disinfect our work stations in between clients. ... We also ask that you wait outside or in your car until we message you to let you know it’s time for you to come in. Members of the same family are welcome to come in together. Please keep in mind that we are already quite booked up with appointments, all of our available appointments are up online. I’d like to thank you all for your patience and support during the last couple of months. It really means a lot to us to be part of such a great community. 08.01.2022 When you are turning 7 and you are owning it! This kids mum let her explain to me exactly how she likes her haircut. I really feel it’s so important to give children autonomy over their bodies. Let your children have cool haircuts...it could be their only chance.
