16.01.2022 Welcoming in the week by celebrating a new website launch for Charlie's of Darwin, one of Darwin's newest establishments. Charlie's do it all - they have a cocktail lounge and restaurant, outside terrace and even a working gin distillery. We loved working with their brand to create a website that showcased the Charlie's experience. We also connected the website to NowBookIt, an Australian booking platform designed for restaurants. The platform allows for real-time, cloud-base...d management of bookings, with an integrated payment solution for gift voucher purchases too. You can view the site on www.charliesofdarwin.com.au

07.01.2022 Phew, just finished the second virtual workshop on behalf of the Department of Education. Talking about how to use social media in schools. Ended up with 40 people on the call, for each session. Have to say virtual presenting does take the sting out of standing in front of a room of people. However, I do miss getting the feedback from the faces in the room. Really enjoyed the session. So many schools are doing some amazing stuff in the digital space. Big shout out to: Educat...ion NT Dripstone Middle School Alawa Primary School Bakewell Primary School Love to hear about others.

01.01.2022 What happens in a UX workshop? This week has been busy with two user experience testing workshops. When we work on large scale websites there can be an abundance of information we need to organise. One of the best ways to do this is through a 'card sort' workshop. This is a complex content process that helps us to figure out the information architecture of a website by discovering how people conceptualise, label and group different ideas. From here, we use real-life scenarios to test out these structures. The next challenge is sorting through the data...we do have software to achieve it, but you can still end up swimming in Post-its...
