21.01.2022 Once again, WA has recorded no new cases of COVID-19 overnight. That means we've now reached a significant milestone with zero new cases confirmed in WA in the ...last week. This is a major accomplishment - especially considering that our rate of testing has been higher than ever before. We've only reached this point because the vast majority of Western Australians have done the right thing over the past two months. So thank you WA - let's keep it up.

20.01.2022 The Moore River Youth Group was on the river this evening. All very well mannered young people.

20.01.2022 We are now located 'north of the border'; namely in the wheatbelt region, so are out of bounds for everyone in the city. Whilst a paddle would be therapeutic, and social distancing is possible, we are sadly off limits. We'll still be here once the lockdown is relaxed. In the meantime, please take care, and follow the regulations.

19.01.2022 WE ARE OPEN AGAIN. The river looks like it may have finished it's cycle of lows. The weather is nicer and more appealing for paddling. See you soon.

18.01.2022 We'll be opening again soon. The weather might eventually help and the river might stay 'up' as the bar builds up. It is currently regularly 'going out' as the bar keeps breaking.

16.01.2022 The weather is getting warmer, the river is rising and it is time to enjoy the great West Australian outdoors. A small group experienced the pleasure of paddling on the beautiful little Moore River. They had to share with a stink boat, but were undeterred.

15.01.2022 We've had customers from Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, China, Canada, US, England, Scotland, Ireland, France, Germany, Netherlands, South Africa, New Zealand, Italy, Lebanon, but now we are getting really well known, people from VICTORIA are 'dropping in'.

13.01.2022 We are open. The river is perfect for paddling. A few site works are happening so if you'd rather dig mud than paddle I've got spare shovels.

12.01.2022 The border is open!!! Regional travel restrictions cease for Moore River Region at midnight Sunday night. The weather is beautiful, the river is high and the barbecues are waiting. ... Time to come up for a paddle and clear the cobwebs.

10.01.2022 Looks like ladies' day on the river

09.01.2022 Some young tourists from France had their car break down and they were stranded on the side of the road for five days. I towed them here so they can shower and relax in nicer surroundings. The car should be repaired next Monday after I tow them to the workshop. In the meantime I am practising my French on them, Lisa, and between rolling on the ground shrieking with laughter and giving me quizzical looks, I have discovered that I have the worst accent they have ever heard.

08.01.2022 A quiet paddle. Perfect recreation for a young family. They saw the sea eagle!!

06.01.2022 The Western Australian women's cricket team, Western Fury, are on the river today. The day is perfect for them, the river rose overnight so the paddling will be great. A very dedicated group of young sports women.

06.01.2022 The 'Bar' is completed and open for business. It is BYO, however, mine host, does not mind what you bring to share.
