24.01.2022 Before setting off on a trip these Spring Holidays, always think about Tyre Pressure! If your tyres are under inflated, they run two towing risks; first, they run hotter, so they are more likely to suffer a blowout. Second, the walls will tend to roll sideways with too little pressure - which can give way to sway. Sway when towing is dangerous to encounter due to the possibility of the van propelling a lighter-weight tow vehicle into an overturn situation.... If you are unsure or need advice talk to the Xperts at CaravanXpress!

When we know what to say next we can help someone open up and find pathways to support long before they're in crisis. Learn what to say next and help us move closer to our vision of a world where we're all connected and are protected from suicide. Head to www.ruok.org.au/how-to-ask

05.01.2022 Caravanning Rules 101 for travelling our beautiful country! How many do you abide by?

03.01.2022 Solar Panel Installation Tips When you're installing a solar panel on your van, be aware that they need to be able to stay sturdy at some great speeds! Mounting it properly using brackets that are even on both sides of the panel is going to help prevent damage to the panel at high speeds. You should also select the right solar regulator for your needs. If you are using 500Watts of solar, but the regulator can only handle 300Watts then you run the risk of burning ...out the regulator Make sure you calculate the correct amount of solar for your application! If you don't have enough solar, you run the risk of flattening your batteries causing irreversible damage. One really common thing we see is people trying to get away with using old residential solar panels. Normally it causes the user a few headaches if they aren't set up properly. They are a much higher voltage than standard recreational panels, so the correct regulator needs to be selected to charge appropriately. Have a chat to Xperts for more advice on what you need for your system
