18.01.2022 Today is White Ribbon Day - a day to raise awareness and commit to action to prevent men’s violence against women. Traditionally, our local White Ribbon Day Mar...ch Against Violence would take place at this time of year - however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 event has been replaced with a virtual ‘White Ribbon Art Gallery.’ Community members are invited to submit artworks to the gallery which will be featured on the White Ribbon Art Gallery Facebook page. Submissions open on Friday 20 November and close 13 December. The gallery has been organised by the Casey Cardinia Family Violence Network with funding from Council and aims to provide community members with an opportunity to come together, raise awareness and commit to preventing violence against women. You can submit your artwork by emailing [email protected]. If you or someone you know is experiencing violence, help is available. If you believe someone is in immediate danger call Triple Zero (000) and ask for the police. Contact 1800 RESPECT on 1800 737 732 or 1800respect.org.au to seek confidential advice and support.
