19.01.2022 Spring time is here! Which also means the start of hayfever season. Some symptoms can include runny or blocked nose, sneezing and itchy, red eyes. Nasal sprays can be a great option for those who suffer from sneezing and blocked/ runny rose. Here's how to get the best results from your nasal sprays:... - Clear your nose first by blowing into a tissue or use a saline rinse or spray 10 minutes before using your medicated nasal spray - Lean forward slightly and angle the nozzle of your spray towards the outside of your nostril - Spray once and breathe in gently - Always wipe the tip with a tissue after use and wash your hands before and after Refer to the asthma council document for more information: https://www.nationalasthma.org.au//using-your-allergy-nasa.

It means the chances of a thunderstorm asthma event is high. Thunderstorm asthma can happen suddenly. It’s serious and in some cases, it can be life-threatening. But what is thunderstorm asthma? It's a type of asthma that’s triggered by a large amount of grass pollen mixing with a certain type of thunderstorm. T...he risk period is between September and January each year. People that are most at risk are asthma and/or hay fever sufferers. Remember, even if you're a hay fever sufferer that hasn't had asthma before, you're still at risk! You can further protect yourself by enacting your hay fever and/or asthma action plan. If you don’t have one in place, see your doctor for more information.
