Paris has decided to support Leukaemia Foundations Worlds Greatest Shave : ... "25 days until it’s all gone! On the 19th March, I will be taking part in the Worlds Greatest Shave and shaving my head for cancer. No doubt is the thought of being without something so pivotal and prominent absolutely petrifying, but I have been extremely fortunate to lead a happy and healthy life and be gifted the ability to do my part. In a year that has been hell for many, it has been 10 times worse for those families and individuals suffering from cancer. Personally being affected by watching those I love suffer with the disease and so to many others, it was an easy choice to make. If I can play my part in eliminating at least some of the pain for at least one family, I’m willing to do it. All of the money raised will provide families facing blood cancer with the special care they need to make it through every scary, uncertain moment that follows their diagnosis alongside helping researchers find a cure to this horrible disease. Whilst always nice to see our old Redbacks friends, it was great to welcome many new players and their families to our new Redback community. And the camera got dusted off ready for the 2021 season ! Even though our trials are finished, we still have room for both new and returning players. ... Redbacks are especially looking for girls for ALL our female teams from Under 6s to Senior Womens. And boys, we need players for our ALL our Under 6s through to Under 21s. 04.01.2022 It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we received news over the weekend that one of our members, Aaron Green tragically lost his life from massive head injuries. He joined the O35 in 2018 and played 3 seasons, finishing premiers this season for the O35e. He leaves behind a wife and two young kids - beautiful little girls. ... Son of Stephen and Louise Green and brother to Kate. He will be sadly missed for his fantastic personality and great friendships he made. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and close friends at this very difficult time.
