25.01.2022 Office girls were without power today sooooo the Acacia courtyard got a clean up today instead. Viv our most consistent resident gardener was impressed with the extra space we created with the cleanup we are hoping that Wednesday morning tea can now be outside every week

25.01.2022 Today marks the commencement of the new national Aged Care Quality Standards which apply to all aged care settings including residential, transition care and and in-home aged care services. The new standards complement the single Charter of Aged Care Rights, which also comes into effect from today to support the rights of all people receiving aged care services. The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission begins monitoring and assessing provider performance against the Aged Care Quality Standards from 1 July 2019. Information on the new standards are available on the Commission website www.agedcarequality.gov.au.

We think the founder, Alana Stevenson, has come up with a fantastic idea that encourages children to get outdoors and have some fun. We couldn't wait to get involved and have been painting some rocks to hide for the kids. We will keep you posted on where we hide them

Last Friday, Carinya Care staff and clients showed their support for Red Nose Day through an impressive display of red dress, red noses and cupcakes to match. Thank you to the amazing leadership team for driving our culture of Nurture, Respect, Teamwork & Communication, and a special thanks to Emma Roberts our new and vibrant Director of Healthcare, Lifestyle & Governance for finding every opportunity to add red ribbons to members of the team! We received wonderful feedback on the day from clients and families, as well as enjoying tasty food and raising money for very worthy cause. Check out all the smiling faces and a Big Thank You to all who contributed to this special day!

Carinya Care Services is very happy to welcome Emma Roberts to the Carinya Care Services Family as the Director of Healthcare, Lifestyle & Governance Emma has been with Carinya Care Services for 4 weeks now and is loving every minute! Please do say hello to Emma if you have the chance. A bit about Emma: A passionate values-based leader, Emma brings over 25 years experience in the healthcare and aged care industry. Emmas knowledge and passion has d...riven her to successfully lead healthcare teams to achieve efficient and effective results for sustainable and optimal client outcomes. Achieving this by working closely with, providing support and empowering staff to deliver exceptional and compassionate care. Emma has a wealth of practiced knowledge and a sound background in healthcare both in Australia and the UK across for profit and not for profit organisations. Her expertise includes clinical governance, quality assurance and risk management, education, human resources, business development, relationship management and operational and strategic project delivery. Previously undertaking a variety of senior management roles, Emma was also a registered Quality Assessor for 10 years working for the Department of Health, undertaking quality assessment audits of aged care services across Western Australia. Emma has also independently consulted as an industry consultant to several aged care operators initiating key improvements to ensure a high level of quality and consumer focused care delivery. Emmas warm personality, sound knowledge base of regulatory compliance and experience of reviewing and auditing healthcare business systems, and advising on and implementing solutions, has been a fundamental component of her professional success. It was wonderful to see so many happy faces and vibrant head wear!! Our lovely and cheerful Director, Emma Roberts, said she "felt very proud of the team demonstrating our Carinya values, everyone looked fantastic!! 02.01.2022 Now we are getting to the really exciting part of the Trish Gloede wing, specifically designed for our dementia clients As you can see it is starting to take shape There are 2 major phases of construction, Phase one is set to be complete around late October - early November 2019 The completion of phase 1 will see all of our clients currently residing in our Wisteria ward moved into their brand new single rooms with private en-suites and access to all of the new activit...y, dining and outdoor areas Not long now before we start discussing room selections with clients and their family members The cafe will also be opening at the end of stage 1, we are all looking forward to having a lovely area to have a bite to eat See more
