25.01.2022 Quick breakdown job thismorning, truck was struggling to build up air pressure. Found a failed service brake relay valve dumping to atmosphere. Replaced internals with spares I had onboard and had her back on the road again in less than an hour heading for the coast

25.01.2022 Water, dirty fuel/tanks and fuel systems don’t go together too well. Injection pump beyond repair due to corrosion. New pump, injectors and a good service for this little stationary engine.

19.01.2022 John Deere 3350 lift/lower repairs. Found broken linkage and missing circlip to cam/follower, 3PL stuck in the raise position. Lifted cab, removed lift cover and replaced linkage etc.

Found plenty of metal in the engine oil filters, further diagnosis found damage to liner and piston skirt etc in cyl no. 2. Still have further to pull down to find cause yet. 03.01.2022 First service on this new 140M completed today

02.01.2022 Had a customer with an engine oil dilution issue on a CAT 914g loser, diesel filling the sump at a quick rate. Diagnosed and found it to be the front shaft seal on injector pump. Removed and had seal replaced, pump and injectors tested and re-fitted. Back to work

01.01.2022 Was called out to a CAT D8T yesterday that had de-rated and had event codes for High intake temperature and developed a cylinder knock sound. Removed rocker covers to find the valve adjustment locknut on number 4 cylinder exhaust rocker arm had come loose, causing the valve bridge to fall out. Which was still burning diesel but not having anywhere for the exhaust gases to escape, was going back through the intake, causing the knock sound and high intake temps.... Only damage was to the button between the adjustment bolt and valve bridge. Removed the small chipped off pieces of metal, changed oil for good measure, replaced the button, carried out a valve set and sent back to work.
