24.01.2022 Please Share to show you care 'Puss Puss' Black & white DLH 6 yo... MC 991001001629422 Source #EE100443 Adoption fee $100 Puss puss was once a stray that found her way into the yard of a caring lady, who befriended her. Fast forward 2 years and the kind lady is now moving and is unable to take her to her new home so Puss Puss is looking for a new and lasting furever home. Puss puss has been an outside cat but is often seen watching and waiting to get inside so she can be near her humans. She will watch you through the fly screen door and craves love and affection and races over a soon as you step outside . She is super affectionate and loves a pat and a chat with you. She has her own electric blanket and her favourite mouse toy which is absolutely worn out but she still loves it . Her favourite food is cat milk, she absolutely loves it plus the usual dry cat bickies and beef mince or a bit of roast chicken! After years of looking after cats CARMAR just know Puss puss will be a fabulous inside/outside cat for any retired couple or single person that has a quiet routine household and the time and patience to help settle Puss puss in to their loving home. If you want to be 'followed' by a beautiful black and white cat then Puss puss is the girl for you! All CARMAR Cats & Kittens are fostered in Echuca ,Victoria which is 3 hours North of Melbourne. 22.01.2022 October 1st to 7th has been selected as "Be Kind to Animals Week". The reason for this is that October takes in several most important days for animals, the birth date of humanitarian and animal advocate Mohandas Gandhi... on the 2nd, and World Animal Day along with the Feast Day of St Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals on the 4th. There are so many ways we can help improve the lives of animals. It might be as simple as taking the dog for a walk, or leaving water out for native birds. Or perhaps you may choose to adopt an animal from a local shelter rather than buying one from a pet store. People are animals too! Why not check on an elderly neighbour or help someone mow their lawn. Participate in conscientious consumerism, always buy cruelty free products and choose cruelty free fare! For more fun things to do or register you own Be Kind To Animals Week event: www.bekindtoanimalsweek.org/ https://www.animalsaustralia.org

21.01.2022 Yay! PussPuss has been adopted! Erin fell In love with PussPuss as soon as she read her story and saw her magnificent long fluffy black & white coat on our Campaspe And River Murray Animal Rehoming Facebook page. ... She decided then and there to get in contact with us and send in her detailed EOI. Erin already has a 6yo black cat named Logan who lives the life of luxury and has access to a safe and secure Catnip Cat Enclosure attached to her home. So after their initial 1st meet and greet, and subsequent 2nd meet and greet (when Erin also brought a friend to meet PussPuss) went so well and she said she just couldn't stop thinking about PussPuss, they decided that her next weekend off was the purrfect time to gently bring PussPuss into Logan's home and let everything settle. Erin knew it would be a slow and steady introduction over the next week or so before Puss Puss and Logan could officially meet face to face. Erin also understands the daily routine of brushing Puss Puss' long coat to help keep it knot free and flooffed to purrfection! And that it is the purrfect opportunity to have some one on one time with Puss Puss to build that special humanfeline bond & get her used to being handled for extra grooming and her yearly vet vaccination visits etc. Erin also has that catnip cat enclosure attached to her home, so Logan and Puss Puss can get some fresh air and sunbake with or without eachother! Please enjoy some update photos and a few words from Erin; "She's definitely got a big personality and has made herself very much at home! She always has her tongue sticking out, and it's hard to get a photo haha. She's very happy here"...and when we caught up with Erin in the street earlier this week she said... " PussPuss and Logan are getting along ok, its early days still and there's been no arguments or cat fights , they seem to be working it out very calmly! she is also spending time with each of them separately and together" Thankyou Erin for adopting another beautiful adult cat. Not everyone wants to take on an older cat. They are already past the crazy kitten stage of climbing, chewing and poo'ing and are happy just to cuddle up with you or listen contentedly as you tell them about your day. Adult cats make wonderful companions. Another Purrfect match made by CARMAR

20.01.2022 Unfortunately just like people, some dogs can show allergic reactions to certain grasses during the spring & summer months. There are primarily two types of dog allergies: food allergies and environmental allergies. If your dog gets itchy during spring, summer or autumn, he's probably reacting to seasonal, environmental allergens. But if symptoms continue all year round, then it is more likely that his sensitivity has something to do with either his environment or his diet. T...hese allergens normally include mould and mildew, pollen, and dust mites. As their bodies try to rid itself of these substances, a variety of skin, digestive and respiratory symptoms may appear. The good thing is that there are now several ways to treat seasonal allergies in dogs. What are the general symptoms of Allergies in dogs? Itchy, red, moist or scabbed skin (also referred to as allergic dermatitis) Increased scratching or chewing Itchy, runny eyes Itchy back or base of tail (most commonly flea allergy) Itchy ears and ear infections Sneezing Vomiting Diarrhea Snoring caused by an inflamed throat Paw chewing or swollen paws Constant licking Read on for more information, but as always take your beloved fid to your local vet for a proper diagnosis and care. https://www.australiandoglover.com//allergies-in-dogs-symp

The kittens are now 8 weeks old! *(Scarlett and her 5 kittens will not be ready for adoption until early December, after all have been desexed,Vaccinated,Michrochipped.) Here's a reminder of their story. "It is Kitten season once AGAIN and this next story is sadly a common occurrence this time of year. Thankfully this story has a happy ending but many don't. ****PLEASE DESEX YOUR PETS **** A Stray cat had snuck into a house and had given birth to her babies in the bottom of a cupboard! Thankfully the retired home owners rung CARMAR, and we were able to obtain a NSW border Pass for Animal Rescue purposes and the rest is history...They are now safe and doing very well in CARMAR care. The kittens were born on the 15th September we were told by the kind retirement home residents, and they had already named the Mumma cat Scarlett. Her 5 tiny little babies were only 2 weeks old when we took them into care and only just opened their eyes and were starting to walk, all be it very wobbly... They reminded us of the 'Thunderbirds' childrens program originally written by Sylvia Anderson in 1965! So please meet Virgil, Aloysius, Lady Penelope, TinTin and Sylvia!

08.01.2022 No truer words said! Please research the known characteristics of the breed/s BEFORE you adopt your next dog. ***... The art of training a dog owner. Dog owner tells me: Hi, my dog pulls on the leash and runs into the woods after deer if I let it off leash. Me: Okay. What's the breed? Owner: A siberian husky mixed with a blood hound. Me: Okay, so you have a musher mixed with a hunting type of dog? Owner: yes. Me: ok, what are these breeds bred to do? Owner: well, half of the dog should be pulling and the other half run into the woods and hunt. Me: Yes. And your problem was? Owner: it pulls on the leash and runs after wildlife. Me: yeah, it appears that you have a dog meant for pulling and hunting. Owner: yes, that's correct. Can you train it out of the dog? Me: Do you have any interests? Owner: Eh, yeah sure I do. I like to paint and watch movies. Me: can you consider quitting doing that? Owner: no, I don't think I can. But what does this have to do with dog training? Me: would you consider doing something else that gives you the same pleasure you get from painting and watching movies? Owner: I mean, sure I can do other things but it's not as fun. Me: ok. And what can you offer a musher that is more fun than pulling and a hunting dog that is more fun than hunting? The dog owner is silent for a while. Owner: That's a good question. I don't know. Me: neither do I. Owner: perhaps I should had gotten myself a PlayStation? Me: haha, yeah if you don't like hunting or being a lot outdoors training perhaps this dog isn't for you. Owner: yeah, one should perhaps read up more before getting a dog. But it's awfully cute! Me: yes, I understand that. Owner : it sheds a lot too. My husband goes crazy of all the fur everywhere. Me: mmm, that's something you have to deal with. Owner : yes, it was even hairs in the stew last night. Me: yeah that's not uncommon. Owner : but you know what? I met a husky when I was 12. It was so beautiful. Ever since I've always wanted one. Me: too bad you didn't meet a PlayStation instead. Owner laughs: alright, I think I'm starting to understand that it's not the dog that has problems but me. Me: haha, not much of a "problem". What you are saying is very common. People with guarding dogs gets angry when their dog growls at strangers. People with sighthounds gets frustrated when their dog comes home with a baby rabbit. People often know too little when they get a dog. Owner : thanks for the chat. I have learned a lot in 10 minutes. Me: good luck in the future. 08.01.2022 Another great write up by Alex Gretgrix Journalist for our local newspaper the Riverine Herald Thankyou to the Murray River councillors who voted for option 2 with amendments, who are now being proactive and passing new by-laws to limit puppy farm breeding numbers and make the council more accountable for animal welfare. Murray River Council will be the first NSW council to enact these laws and bring them inline with their Victorian counterparts. ... Lets show the other NSW councils that they too, can be proactive like MRC has been and help ban or atleast limit puppy farming by following the Murray River council's lead. So a very big THANKYOU to the MRC councillors for listening to your constituents! A small victory, in a small town ,in a very big electorate, can be used to our advantage...to help all of us protect our companion animals. Let's show the other NSW councils what can be achieved. 02.01.2022 Please Share to show you care 'Shar' Koolie x Born Feb 2019... MC 956000006153492 Source #EE100443 Adoption fee $500 Hi! My name is Shar. I'm only a young lass, you know. I'm just 18 months old. I'm rather timid of the world but with the right family, I'll blossom. Even though I'm wary of lots of things, my foster carers have said I've coped extremely well with all the new experiences I have had since coming into care. I walk well on a harness and lead, I have good recall at the offleash oval and I know my basic manners sit, stay, come. I enjoy going in the car or tethered securely on the back of a ute. I'm house trained, and I like sleeping next to your bed or on a couch in the loungeroom. And once I gain my confidence with new strangers, whether they be human, dog or cat, I am a loving loyal best friend. I am going to be the best dog I can be with the right kind of people. But I need people to understand I am a bit fearful of men, loud screaming kids ,and aggressive dogs. I have coped extremely well when introduced the right way with care and patience to the above situations. I am now best friends with some men and other dogs at our local off leash oval.So yes it can be achieved! If you are a retired couple that can take me on holidays with you, or a single person who needs a BFF or a family with kids 15yo and above then please send in your EOI today! Love Shar xx If you think you can give Shar all the love, attention and a safe environment then click on her Petrescue link below and send us your EOI today!
