13.01.2022 The new partner visa sponsorship requirements and all other updates relating to the new 'Migration Amendment (Family Violence and Other Measures) Act 2018' will come into effect on 17 April 2019. This means that if you are looking at lodging your application, we would suggest you do so before this date to ensure you are not caught out by the new legislation. The new process will require you to lodge a sponsorship application and have it approved before you can lodge a valid p...artner visa application. This may delay those people who have their visa expiring soon from being able to apply in time, meaning they may need to leave Australia. There is no information available yet as to how the sponsorship application will look, or how long it will take to be processed. 10.01.2022 A client recently approached us who had multiple previous visa refusals. We reapplied for their subclass 600 visa, carefully addressing the genuine temporary entrant criteria and preparing a detailed legal submission and various forms of evidence to support their intentions. Today their visa was approved with a validity of 3 years, multiple entry, with stays of 3 months each time. We are very happy with the outcome and so is our client and they are looking forward to their trip to Australia!

The number of eligible businesses affected by the expansion will rise to 2500 by the end of the year, up from 900.
