19.01.2022 Regrettably Cancelling Christmas In July Dinner On the weekend of 23 & 24 June when the temperature in Bungendore reached -8, three old legacy water pipes froze then burst in the roof of the restaurant. They spewed water for hours before being discovered and caused much damage. After discussions this week with our insurer and contractors we will not be able to complete the required repairs with certainty before this wonderful Christmas in July themed dinner had been schedule...d. After realistically looking at the situation, we have determined it is best to cancel the event this year. We are very disappointed for our staff and the entertainers who had put so much into the events preparation and for our guests who will now not be able to experience a Christmas in July to Remember. We will promptly provide a full refund to all booked guests. We are sorry and will try to make up with extra special real Christmas and New Year events at the end of the year.

16.01.2022 Rob Langston performs as Basil at the Carrington Inn 8-9 June Rob is a graduate of Drama Studio London who has been involved in many exciting theatre projects such as the Ibsen Theatre Companys Peer Gynt at Londons Riverside Studios, the improvisation group The Improdigies at The Roundhouse, and the hit site-specific theatre production You Me Bum Bum Train. A massive fan of British comedy from a young age, Rob also writes comedy himself, co-writing and co-performing in... the comedy podcast Jim and Robs Podcast Rambles. He also produced and starred in the short film Sock, which showed at the London Short Film Festival and Colfilmic Festival in Manchester. Rob has travelled from London to perform as Basil in Bungendore this season. He has played the role to critical acclaim in the dining experience show in Londons West End, and touring with it throughout the UK, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia. On-stage, performance highlights include the musicals My Fair Lady, Wicked, Mary Poppins and The Phantom of the Opera, plus a national tour with Artes Christi Australia of The Jewellers Shop, and appearing as Lady Bracknell in their productions of The Importance of Being Earnest and Fiddler on t...he Roof. 09.01.2022 It is with much sadness I received the news this morning that Toni Jane Coote, my friend and curator of the modern Carrington Inn, passed away peacefully last night, in the company of some family members and close friends, after a happy night with all, and after visits from the family during the past few days. Already a successful business woman, in the 1980s, Toni purchased and converted the 1885 inn into a popular restaurant for locals and tourists. Later, she added new... accommodation rooms and a function centre to the Carrington property. Tonis last visit to the Carrington was just two weeks ago, when she came by to see her mulberry tree that was transplanted from the middle of the carpark, to next to the function centre. She had asked me to preserve the tree in the garden renovations, and I honoured that request. After retiring from the Inn around 2005, she became instrumental support to her partner and husband Tony Coote, the work of Mulloon Creek Natural Farm, and the Mulloon Institute. They were deeply in love. Tonys passing in August was heartbreaking for Toni. We should all be happy for the spirit and energy Toni interjected into our town and that Tony and Toni are once again united. May they rest happily in peace.
