22.01.2022 Cart Your Art staff member and Chairperson Katie Wagner I am a Toowoomba artist, currently studying a bachelor of creative arts at the University of Southern Queensland. I am currently in my second year of uni and I love to create different styles of paintings and sculptures. Painting wise I love to paint landscapes and geometric patterns with heaps of bold bright colours. I absolutely love! to work with bold bright colours. At the moment I am combining the landscapes and geo...metric coloured shapes together using photography where I take photos of different landscapes all around Australia, I then print these onto paper and canvas and paint the geometric coloured shapes over the top. Sculpture wise I have concentrated on sculpting sandstone into these mythological creates and weird looking beings currently I have started a new project where I am sculpting parts of the human anatomy onto very small pieces of sandstone which will carved into different coloured stone pieces. I also like to carve wooden sculptures such as 20th century phones and different objects. See more
