19.01.2022 Wow! Ok story time. 121kg bluefin tuna Josh takes his son Ryder out the front of Western port launching from stony Point to chase jumbo tuna locally, fishing all day 3:30pm comes along after a patch of bait his been working for hours by himself the rod screams off and his tight, I have been offshore all day myself too not too far from him but when I got the call I was back up at tyabb bank. Top of Western Port. Ryder 7 years old taking control and driving the boat like a pro... for over 2.5 hours when it started to get a little to much and we got the call to come out and lend a hand, IFISH w TACKLEWORLD Paul Worsteling jump in baby stabi I met him at stony Point and we headed offshore. We arrived just before the sun was going down I jumped on and jumped on the steering wheel for the next 3.5 hours into the dark. A huge thanks to Paul and his son jet for bringing me out there and also staying right until the very end of the fight into the late hours of the night can not thank you enough. This fish was an animal I have never been involved in something that has fought like this before. Constant angle changes power runs just dogging it out. By the 4.5 hour mark we upped the drag past the button on 37kg line class. For another hour on around 16kg of drag this thing was not done. We kept going and the rest is history. What an amazing thing to be apart of we have done countless trips over the last 5 or 6 years trying to get one together What a huge achievement this is for Josh he done all the hard work yesterday to get the bite himself with his son. I'm just lucky enough I got the call to come lend a hand truly greatful to be apart of this capture! 18.01.2022 Soon as we come out of stage 4 lockdown, one of the first things I am going to do is chase one of my favourite species of fish the humble SNAPPER ! Can't wait to get stuck into these fish for the season it's going to be Huge!

03.01.2022 @cassarfishingguides Hi everyone so we are back in lock down for another 6 weeks which means no fishing for any of us! For some its work and for some its leisure but we all enjoy the same sport and we have to take a step back for now. I will put up content that could be useful to everyone who loves fishing especially for port Phillip and western port over the next few weeks.... Fingers crossed when we are allowed to fish again we can get stuck into a big snapper season locally. Keep a look out as we have some HUGE NEWS in the coming weeks for the fishing world. 01.01.2022 Not for the faint hearted. This was from earlier in the year Topwater fishing with big stick baits and huge trebles for yellowfin tuna out of Bermagui. Perfect reason not to put your hands where you wouldn't put your....... And another perfect reason why bolt cutters are a must have on a boat when it comes to game fishing.
