25.01.2022 To all Cassidy's Taekwondo members...It is so great to see everyone coming back to classes and I am certainly feeling it after tonight's class :-) Thank you Jason :-) Just a reminder to all the parents who are dropping off/picking up students... Can you PLEASE do your very best to adhere to the time frames listed again below as late drop offs / pick ups can result in the following class being postponed until Jason has been able to clean and prepare for the next group in orde...r for him to meet all the COVID precaution requirements. 1st Class - Please arrive at 5.10pm for drop off and please pick up at 6.10pm 2nd Class - Please arrive at 6.15pm for drop off and please pick up at 7.10pm. 3rd (Snr) Class - Please arrive at 7.15pm, finishing at 8.20pm You assistance with trying to meet these time frames is greatly appreciated. If you have any concerns, please don't hesitate to contact Jason, Tanya or myself. Kind Regards Lisa

24.01.2022 ATTENTION All Cassidy's Taekwondo families/students... Hi everyone, GREAT NEWS :-) Jason would like to let everyone know classes are re-opened starting next Tuesday 9th June :-) and we are ALL very happy about that :-) Times for Classes Tuesdays + Thursdays will be:... 1st Class - Please arrive at 5.10pm for a 5.15pm start and finishing at 6.10pm so cleaning can occur before the next class. Can all parents please try and be there for pick up by 6.15 at the very latest so that children are not left alone in the car park unsupervised. 2nd Class - Please arrive at 6.15pm for 6.20pm start, finishing at 7.10pm. Can all parents please try and be there for pick up by 7.15pm at the very latest. 3rd (Snr) Class - Please arrive at 7.15pm for a 7.20pm start, finishing at 8.20pm This will be the case until further notice following ongoing advice from the Tasmanian Government and Taekwondo Australia. - Everyone will have their temperature checked on arrival. Can parents please not leave after drop off until your child has had their temperature checked. - Apologies but no spectators are allowed at this stage. - They will also be provided with hand sanitizer prior to starting their lesson - If they have Taekwondo training shoes, can they please wear them. - We will be maintaining the 1.5 meter social distancing rules which also means no self-defense work with partners however we can still do solo step exercises to work on our self-defense. We really look forward to seeing everyone next week and WELL DONE to everyone who has persevered through with Zoom sessions, you should all be very proud. Also a huge shout out to Jason who has expanded his IT and teaching skills through this difficult time and has done an awesome job keeping us going, THANK YOU Jason :-) If you have any concerns or questions at all about return to classes, please don't hesitate to contact Jason direct. Kind Regards Lisa

20.01.2022 Hi everyone...to all club members...I would like to say firstly how proud I am of all the people who are joining in on Jason's lessons via Zoom. It is great to see the numbers so keep up the fantastic support and great work. Secondly...You will only slip back in skill and technique if you allow it so train hard in a new environment as this will not only add to our resilience but also our strength of character...regardless of if you think people cannot see you, pssst guess w...hat...if you forget to press mute, each time you make a noise the camera goes to you instead of on Jason :-) Thirdly...For anyone you know personally who trains with you and is not attending Zoom classes (as I cannot see who is and is not attending), do a quick follow up with them just to see if they are okay and if they need any help with being able to access it, just let them know that we are all thinking of them and would love them to participate in the ongoing lessons, just a different environment that's all... So again, finally...well done, I am really proud to be a member of Cassidy's Taekwondo and a HUGE shout out to Jason who is doing a fantastic job under the current circumstances and has progressed HEAPS with his IT skills no doubt :-) See more

20.01.2022 Hi everyone...for all club members...Can you please email Tania your current email address so that they can connect you to their new online learning platform ’zoom’ which they are hoping to have this up and running by Thursday :-)

18.01.2022 Hi everyone...just touching base to say Hi and we hope everyone is traveling okay at the moment. If anyone from Cassidy's Taekwondo is having any problems with their working of Zoom or accessing the online lessons, please let us know and we will see if we can help you. This is a great forum to post any questions you may have for Jason about this. There are a few things that people may be struggling with e.g. 1) I have noticed that there are a few people who are not puttin...g their device on mute during the lessons so when you make a noise or if you have background noise like family, dog etc. we can hear you and the main camera on our view automatically switches to you rather than Jason for a few moments and then it switches back to Jason. When you first log onto Zoom and the meeting starts, you need to ensure that the video camera icon is working and does not have a red diagonal line through it + you also have to touch the Microphone icon beside that to ensure that there is a red diagonal line that is going through it as this will mean you are on mute and no-one will hear you. 2) I have noticed that there has been a couple of times where people, including myself have tried to ask Jason a question or say something by taking yourself off mute but for some reason Jason still can't hear you even though the rest of us can. I am not sure why this is happening and I will follow up with Jason to let him know this and try and find a fix to the problem. AKA work in progress :-) I am really impressed with the level of involvement and commitment that everyone is showing with their online lessons and it just makes me even prouder to be a member of this club :-) Kind Regards and take care of yourselves Lisa Shearing

17.01.2022 IMPORTANT NOTICE - Temporary Club Closure due to Corona Virus (COVID 19) With the ongoing and constantly evolving Corona Virus (COVID-19) situation, we are taking steps to ensure the health and safety of our students, instructors and their families . This means that we have decided to close the club for the remainder of term 1 and will reassess the ongoing situation for the start of term two.... We are not willing to wait for a Government directive as we have the BEST interest of our members as our first priority. The nature of Taekwondo training requires close personal contact with other members of the club and it will pose a significant risk to our members given the current circumstances given we cannot effectively put in place measures for separation distances between participants. We are currently exploring the option of video classes through an application , so that students can still train from home, we will keep you updated on this, we are also working on a system for grading to still take place through skype or Zoom. Note this Sunday’s Gradings will be deferred until further notice. This decision has not been taken lightly. We must follow advice from our medical experts to ensure the best possible outcome for society in this very difficult time. Our thoughts are with you all and we hope everyone remains safe over the next few weeks. Keep an eye on the Facebook page and we will keep you updated as we go forward, particularly with training options going forward. Please contact us if you have any questions. Jason: 0419122119 or Tania : 0448757783 Warmest Regards Jason, Tania & Lisa

16.01.2022 Hi everyone...just an update for all Cassidy's Taekwondo students and families... 1) Lesson times remain the same during the school holidays 2) From Tuesday 13th October we are able to have up to a total of 4 people (parents/family) able to watch classes, mainly due to the size of the room and current restrictions that are still in place regarding meeting social distancing requirements. Unfortunately it will need to be the first 4 people there at the door as there is no othe...r way of really managing this. We thank you all for your patience with this and at least it is a small improvement and we hope that further lifting of restrictions continues to occur soon. We will keep you informed of any further changes as they occur. Kind Regards Lisa

15.01.2022 Hi everyone just a reminder that there is NO training tonight due to the public holiday, see you all back on Tuesday cheers

13.01.2022 Hi everyone...thank you for following Cassidy's Taekwondo to it's new FB page and I am pleased to say we have passed 100 likes so keep it going :-) and thank you again for your support. I will be attempting to add information regarding up and coming 'Events' so lets see how I go with it....Any questions at all, please don't hesitate to contact us.

12.01.2022 Attention all Cassidy's Taekwondo students and parents...just putting a little challenge out there for you all...I would not be surprised at all if most of us had the last week off training and that's okay...now that we have...here is the challenge...I would like to see all of our students training 1 hour Tuesday and Thursday nights as a minimum at home...We would LOVE to see posts on here with pictures or videos of our students commitment to doing this. If anyone needs a pa...rticular form they are trying to learn recorded on video and sent to your mobile or email then please let us know and we will see what we can do to help with this. I think this is not just good for our physical health but also for our children's mental health at a time of such uncertainty and change. It would be great if we as parents could support, encourage and facilitate our children doing this at home, if not for anything else but to have a bit of normality and familiarity. If anyone needs any assistance at all with doing this, please let us know and we will support you. Most of the kids would be able to remember the basic warm ups + basic kicks + basic blocks and basic punches...this can be the foundation of where they start with doing it at home as well as focusing on mastering their current form. I am interested to see how many people take on this challenge...remember...start posting pics or videos of this occurring and hopefully this may motivate and encourage others to. See more

09.01.2022 Attention all Cassidy's Taekwondo students and parents...Just letting you know that the next grading will be held on Sunday 16th August starting from 10am. Exact times TBC as Jason will be allocating specific time slots for each student and he will let you know what time once confirmed. Any questions, please don't hesitate to contact Jason. Kind Regards Lisa

08.01.2022 Up and coming grading dates for 2020 are: - 22nd March - 21st June - 13th September - 13th December
