24.01.2022 Thank you to the beautiful trio who facilitated tonight, as well as the awesome audience and crew. So, it turned into my 'Surprise Education Birthday Party.' (Did not tell anyone it was my birthday, next minute, singing, clapping, smiling and learning!) Intimacy co-ordination and direction will help mould the arts industry with more psychological safety, improved performance, freedom (ironically) and better support for mental health. I predict the demand for these roles will grow in Australia (and it is a movement - I learnt this tonight, not my words!) Love the concept. Not the fun police! 23.01.2022 Sending love to all my friends and family with children AND those without children. This post is a friendly reminder for all of us, as we all have an inner child who will benefit from this kind reminder from a clever teacher. (Image posted, kindly stolen from an anonymous teacher!) Yes, many of you are artists and are being creative at home with your craft - that's cool, if it is fun! :) I recently made a little commitment to myself, not a lecture to others, just my experien...ce. So, I will share, it may help at least one other person (I hope)! Here goes..... No matter what my dream is, these times or after these times, I have committed to life balance and looking after my health. My mental and physical health trumps all other things, even when I am excited about projects! If practicing my craft is costing me too much, such as lack of sleep, crappy nutrition, lack of laughter, lack of self-love, lack of genuine emotional connection etc., then it probably is not where I am meant to be at that moment. Life is not a race, it never was. I have heard from others to 'compare is to despair'! I am right where I am meant to be and whatever I do or do not do does not indicate my worth. Since making this commitment recently, my emotional well-being has improved greatly, even before I actually took any actual action, other than the decision. My thoughts truly do impact my reality :) Sure, this may be something most adults know already, however, I admit - I sometimes miss the basics because I live in my mind a bit :) Have a great day all, see you soon xoxoxoxox
