25.01.2022 CHAMPIONS!!!!!!! CHCC has just won the 2020 Super Senior Pennant, as we expected it was a great battle between two very strong clubs. The day started with a mild breeze but quickly turned into gusts then gale force conditions which made for a tremendous battle at The Lakes GC Our guys were the victors 5.5 to 2.... Celebrations could go well in to the night!!

CHCC will battle against old foe Forster-Tuncurry at The Lakes Golf Club, tee off is 9:30am and it would great to have as members out there supporting the team as possible. 12.01.2022 Captain’s vs President’s Day - Saturday 14th November The 2020 bragging rights for the 2020 Competition go the Captain Cruise team with a score of 2099 pts over the President Hugh team score of 2014 pts.

10.01.2022 Hearty Congratulations to all Winners in the Men’s Club Championships 2020. There was a mix of conditions wet, windy and sunny to test the best of CHCC in all grades. Lots of close competitive rounds and the Match Play was equally exciting.... Huge thanks also to Mitch and his Course Staff as well as the great help from Volunteers who all worked tirelessly to present the course wonderfully for each days play over the 3 weekends. 08.01.2022 After 13 wonderful years as Head Professional at Castle Hill Country Club I have resigned today. I want to take the time to thank my wonderful staff I’ve been p...rivileged to work with. Paul and Karen (not on FB) have been with me every step of the way and know the long hours it takes to run a proshop from 5am - 8pm 7 days a week I have them to thank the most for our success. To Tim Lass my right hand man looking after everything that I pass his way, I’ll miss you greatly. To Alex Edge my Touring Pro you’re definitely one of kind legend whom I’ve shared 100’s of great memory’s with. Darryl Sando my teaching professional for the last few years and 30 year mate, you’re in a great place there now and thanks for your help. To my former teaching professional Shane Mcleod you were a pleasure to work with mate, Claudia Lim you’re personality was infectious and hopefully our paths cross again. To the Board of Director’s I can’t thank you enough, CHCC President Hugh Haslehust-Smith has been the best business mentor and friend I could have asked for, Club Captain Tony Cruise you’re doing a great job in your first year. To GM Duncan Walker it’s been great to work along side you for many years. To former Captain and good friend Lindsay Verdon I really enjoyed working with you and learnt a lot about club life. Course Super-intendent Mitch Brooks you’re doing a great job with a great crew of staff. To the members it’s been a pleasure to serve you for 16 years in total, I’ve made 100’s of friendships over the years, I’ll miss the banter and the laughs we often share. Where am I going?? It gives me great pleasure to announce that I’ll be starting on Feb 1 at Concord Golf Course as Director of Golf. Concord GC is a Top 40 course in Australia and is a club rich with history and I look forward to being part of it. My last day at CHCC is Jan 12th Many thanks David
