25.01.2022 At 4pm this afternoon track was under water after a 30 minute thunderstorm dumped on the Hills District. Rain initially from south drenched the loop side of the track. Wind changed direction & the other side of the track then drenched. Thank you to all the people who pitched in with brooms, squeegees & blower to remove the water. 60 minutes after the storm finished track was almost completely dry & ready for racing. https://castlehillrc.liverc.com/results/

24.01.2022 With trucks becoming more popular, a rule set has been drafted for the NSW clubs. Trucks are not a sanctioned RCRA class and clubs are obviously free to do their own thing but hopefully most will follow the rule set. Big thank you to Tony Smith (SMA) and Michael Brown (CH) who provided most of the initial input and Newcastle club who added some common sense adjustments. Intent is to allow people to run what they have now (eg: stick packs or square packs, Tamiya body or afte...rmarket body) without gaining an unfair performance advantage. NSW Clubs Tamiya Truck Rules - Legal kits: 58632 Team Hahn Racing MAN TGS, 58642 Team Reinert Racing MAN TGS, 58661 Buggyra Racing Fat Fox, and 58683 Tankpool24 Mercedes Actros - Trucks and body should be built as per kit instructions. - Kit motor and ESC. ESC wires may be connected direct to motor. Reverse disabled on ESC - Allowed hop ups are bearings and alloy centre prop shaft. - no locked diffs - 1500g minimum weight - Stick or Square pack lipos. Max 8.4 volts. Minimal removal of stick pack chassis supports is permitted to allow square pack lipos to fit. - Tamiya battery connector can be replaced with an aftermarket battery connector (eg: Deans, XT60 ) - Kit 19 tooth pinion can be replaced with an aftermarket 19 tooth 0.6 pitch pinion (eg: Yeah Racing MG-06P19T, Robinson Racing RW0619). Kit 61 tooth spur gear can be replaced with aftermarket 61 tooth 0.6 pitch spur gear (eg: 3 racing TT01-28) - Any Tamiya or aftermarket servo saver or servo arm may be fitted. Alloy servo arm/horn allowed. - Aftermarket Truck Bodies allowed (eg: Bitty Design and ABC Hobby) - No wings or additional aero aids allowed on bodies - One fan to cool motor permitted. Max 40mm - permitted to mix & match front and rear wheels on the truck

Even if you are not racing, come down to catch up and enjoy the BBQ.

15.01.2022 Track hosed down this morning & ready for painting Saturday. Thank you to Reece, Allister, Dean & Ray who did most of the hard work sweeping the water off the track. 15.01.2022 Final club race day for the year at Whalan this coming Sunday 13th. Will be running 21.5, 13.5 and modified. Weather was good, racing was excellent all day & in a year where covid has disrupted most events, was enjoyable to be able to race with full fields in all classes. Can't thank Tony Smith enough for the... work he puts into the series & for taking on the scrutineering role.
