22.01.2022 "All of your problems, all of your stresses, come from being out of alignment. Without it, a boat without a mast is lost at sea to the mercy of chaotic winds. R...estoring mobility, strengthening function, and developing complexity can be reduced to realignment. Align: first, within. Then, you will captain your ship through even the toughest storm." - Scott B. Sonnon See more

20.01.2022 Jogging can be used as a way of identifying and healing tensions by directing impact waves through the body to massage various areas using slight changes in posture, gain, and density.

20.01.2022 "Exercise: a collection of movements which make you better at being you. Each new skill brings a new adventure. Instead of frustration at the pace required to arrive at the your intended destination, enjoy the journey. It's only one way, and it's shorter than you hope." - Scott B. Sonnon

19.01.2022 asking how much force that you can exert while contributing effectively to the task objective, more else, how little total work you m...ust perform to successfully accomplish the task objective... If you want to be fit, try to perform at high levels of technique while exerting yourself less. See more

15.01.2022 "Although we think of being deconditioned (insufficient stress causing movements to fall into disuse) as the only form of being unfit, two others equally limit ...our physical capacity: misuse (improper technique due to fixation on effort over form), and overuse (pushing through pain of repetitive stress despite under recovered diminishing returns). Flow, our optimal fitness, lies balanced within sufficient but not excessive effort, properly built and challenged technique, and exertional discomfort versus distressed pain; avoiding overuse, disuse, and misuse." - Scott B. Sonnon

15.01.2022 "Grant me the Strength to Resist What I Should not Move, The Discipline to Move What I Should, and the Awareness to Know the Difference... Knowing what to move ...and what to resist moving is not simple, because your brain wants to achieve the goals you give it. Command: "Move there," and your body takes whatever route it can, despite its restrictions. Genius that it is, your body "cheats" to accommodate your deficiencies and limitations it's adopted over time. A great immediate survival tool, but less than optimal longevity strategy. To compensate, you must follow a "Move in this way," approach; with a process, rather than an outcome, orientation. Direct what should and shouldn't move. Go slower to become smoother, and speed becomes a natural byproduct of better quality movement. Practice what you should, and resist what you shouldn't. Make that your "workout" and you'll continue to grow and strengthen as you age." - Scott B. Sonnon

13.01.2022 "Becoming Injury Resistant doesn't mean you never get hurt. It means you get injured less often, with less severity and with faster recovery. Train full range before you're forced to rehab it." - Scott B. Sonnon

12.01.2022 "The poison is the antidote. Move through weakness, and you'll reinforce poor form. When weak, place yourself in a position of weakness, and resist movement (ca...lled "muscle activation" or dynamic isometrics in old time strongman training). Weakness is neural shut-down. Hold, until you switch back on." - Scott B. Sonnon See more

12.01.2022 "Prolonged stress causes degeneration in the area of the brain responsible for self-control which is why people who are too relaxed or too stressed make poor de...cisions, as well as why stress related disease is the number one killer of soldiers, police and firefighters You need stress to fight stress because our bodies only adapt and grow by it; without stress we whither and die from accelerated aging (as we discovered in our NASA space program - zero gravity rapidly destroys your skeleton, tissues and organs from the absence of stress.) So in TACFIT, I created a data tracking method to measure recovery and ensure that we are training with positive stress ("eustress") and not negative stress ("distress"). As you can see in this chart, only in the middle of the bell, do you find optimal performance. But a balance of healthy stress can't be found in a day, since you can't maintain your current levels. You have to add stress and then back off and recover. Stress and recovery "wave" along a particular biorhythm which you can plug back into to." - Scott B. Sonnon

09.01.2022 Walking is a great opportunity for practice, and is a great example of why what you're doing isn't as important as what you're paying attention to.

09.01.2022 We adapt to technique, not merely effort. Exhale, pour all your effort into your technique, and keep going.

06.01.2022 "Confidence is silent; Immobility - noisy. The more restrictions you have, the greater the negative repercussions of your movement. The less restrictions you ha...ve, the greater your quiet confidence in executing any task. Train hard - land soft. Smooth is injury-free power." - Scott B. Sonnon See more

05.01.2022 Accuracy when you train
