You are invited to gather together with women of this community to connect to the earth, by the fire, under the open sky and speak the stories of our hearts. I wish to set the intention for this circle for connecting women of this community, and to explore the topic of "creating a supportive sisterhood" We will journey together with this topic, listening with compassion and the ears of our heart to the stories offered. This will be followed by a shamanic drum journey, to connect with our inner guidance for moving forward and into connected, collaborative & supportive sisterhood. 24.01.2022 Radiant Women, Spring has arrived, with the days getting longer, hearing all the birds chirping in the mornings, and blossoms on the trees. On the wheel of the year, this spring time energy correlates with the end of menstruation / body starting to prepare for ovuation within the menstrual cycle. I have subbed CSC, so they will receive membership of the Mag for a year and to assist in changing the Culture for our youth, and giving them something better to read than what is currently on offer. Also check out Ramona (www.ramonamag.com) if you haven't already. Another awesome online publication of the same ilk, which, like Bella Rae, celebrates di...versity. It's filled with great stories, art, advice, and information in the hopes of leaving girls feeling empowered, accepted, and worthy. Please share these with all your contacts where appropriate. 07.01.2022 WHAT HAPPENS AT THE RED TENT? Red Tents traditionally occurred on or near the New moon (Dark moon). It was a place for women and girls to rest, reflect and be supported by other women, (historically this was also when women menstrual cycle synced with the moon). The Castlemaine Red tent, now in its fourth year, provides a safe, welcoming, relaxed space for women to come together and share in circle.... We meet once a month, on or near to the dark moon. Whether you have your period, a menstrual cycle, or a womb, or not, the space is open to all women to gather and share. Women of all ages, backgrounds, and life situations are welcomed and valued at the Red Tent. There is no hierarchy, or teacher. The space is held, by one or two women. You will be guided with a mediation, to connect with the earth and sky, the directions and each other, and become more present with yourself and in the space before circle begins. Together we will co- create a safe container for sharing, with agreements we are all comfortable with before we begin. Each person takes a turns to share in circle, while the others listen. (and you don't have to speak if you don't want to) There will be questions to prompt sharing. These are around the cycles; of life, menstrual and lunar cycle. Some women experience a little anxiety around speaking in this way. When I first started going to women's circles, my heart would often be pounding as the bowl or talking stick made its way closer to me. What helped was calm breathing, and coming back to the present moment, who was speaking and what they were saying. It is rare in our modern world to offer our full presence to someone as they speak, or receive it from another person. The talking circle is a place where we can gift that to each other. You do not need to rehearse what you're going to say, just say what arises when the talking bowl arrives in your hands. It is not a space for giving advice or judgment, but rather to sit and witness what arises. Sharing in circle like this is a powerful way to connect to the wisdom within you. By both speaking and listening, so often we can understand, transform or let go whatever it might be that we are sitting with. Sometimes this happens in circle, other times, it might be some time after you have gone home. We usually end with a Shamanic process like a Drum journey, occasionally a meditation, sometimes singing and drumming. This will vary from one circle to the next, depending on the unique constellation of souls who come together for that particular circle. You are warmly invited to come along and experience the red tent if you fell drawn to.

04.01.2022 Imbolc blessing everyone, Just a reminder that the Castlemaine Red Tent is NOT on this evening. The Red tent will resume again on Friday September 14th. I hope you have all had a restful winter of contemplation and internal reflection (it has been for me). I look forward to returning to circle with fresh perspectives & energy for deepening process and connection in the circles we create together.... The season of imbolc is ever present in our environment both internal and external right now. The smell in the air and sounds of the birds is shifting, as we feel & see the beginnings of spring time. New shoots and leaves are sprouting in the garden. The beginning of this season is a good time to contemplate the following; What dreams and intentions are seeding within you? And what is needed in order to nurture and grow them? And as we complete this lunar cycle, and begin a new one this weekend, you may also ask your self; what it is you are letting go of, to support the growth of what you are seeding.
