04.01.2022 Dear Parents and students, Recent developments as a result of the coronavirus have sparked significant concern across Australia, as well as the rest of the world. We would like to assure all of our students and parents that Castlerock is taking all of the necessary precautions to ensure hygiene and sanitisation is at a level in which all students can feel safe.... We do not run group lessons and in a one to one situation where we disinfect all pianos, microphones, and chairs after each lesson, and run Eucalyptus diffusers in every room, we are more than confident that we are doing everything to combat the flu virus that is causing some people so much concern. I am currently a member of staff within the Education Department and their latest and current attitude to the Coronovirus is based on the decision of the Premier Mr. McGowan that the schools are in no danger of shutting down at the present time. We want to encourage all parents to be calm and continue as normal. The Education Department has informed us that the risk of infection is minimal, and as such your lessons can continue without interruption. We have implemented various measures to ensure the chance of contracting the illness is negligible. However, for parents who are particularly concerned, especially those with students who are particularly vulnerable to respiratory illnesses, we at Castlerock are offering online teaching sessions across Skype, as of next week, so that you may feel as safe as possible in these troubling times. For all those who would like to switch to Skype lessons, please register an online Skype account and send us through your user name A.S.A.P. We want to thank all parents for working with us in these times.
