24.01.2022 ‘Birds of the Feather Paint Together’ both via Zoom and face to face at Jezzine Barracks here in Townsville. These were painted during both the Sunday afternoon online Zoom classes (ideal for very busy creatives) and the Thursday evening lessons. Techniques practiced included diffusion, gradation, painting on wet paper and dry paint Then when finished, Cathy painted beautiful pots .... all beautiful and all relaxing .



24.01.2022 Chris Patterson, from the Tuesday daytime class, has won a free term of art classes ! Creatives who draw/paint in their own time go into the draw each week during the term. Chriss name was drawn at my last class for the term on Monday night. Congratulations Chris !

18.01.2022 Tuesday afternoon creatives discovered new some Watercolour techniques. The first few were painted in their own time. The other masterpieces during class lessons. Art class can give the creative process at home a bit of momentum as well as an opportunity paint with likeminded people during a round of 6 week lessons. Thanks ladies for your enthusiasm painting with this new medium.

18.01.2022 I was privileged to be invited to facilitate an acrylic painting workshop for a team of woman from NQ Legal Service. We honoured the life of late Supreme Court Justice: Ruth Bader Ginsberg ... Pop Art Style. Sunning results! Friday was their annual staff retreat. What an absolute pleasure to be part of a workshop which allows these very hardworking women to network and take some time out for themselves. Thanks Jade Conner( Lawyer ) for recommending me and my son Ben Watt for giving me the inspiration.

18.01.2022 Art in the Park @ Oonoonba Community Centre : Textured Landscapes. So rewarding to see busy creatives taking some time out to draw with friends and family & enjoy our community parks and centres. Next week I will be facilitating this workshop @ 11am again at the Riverside Community Centre. Lots of workshops and live entertainment there as well. Pop over and have a picnic ( perhaps join a workshop if their is space ) as sometimes people book in then rudely not show up on the day because it free. Townsville City Council for this opportunity to share my passion for art. Google Art in the Park for the program.

17.01.2022 ‘This is more fun than Xbox ‘ said Joshua . The thing I love about community workshops is seeing families and friends enjoying art and the feel good vibes it brings. What a stunning venue at the Riverside Community Centre ! I also made a bangle from coffee wrapping.... with Min from Dream Weavers. A fantastic morning thanks to the the Townsville City Council ‘s Art in the Park program.

Here I caught up Debbie Breen and met her friend Jo at my last Art in the Park " Textured Landscape "workshops. Thanks so much Townsville City Council for providing the opportunity for the community to enjoy Townsville's beautiful parks and their community centers near them. Thinking now I be offering this again in the summer school holidays.

12.01.2022 Hut 26 Jezzine Barracks: Monday night creatives painted an Avery of blue and pink birds perched on the window sill here. Clients are building their Watercolour techniques: Painting on wet paper, dropping concentrated pigment into a lighter colour ( Diffusion) and Painting with fine and round brushes.

01.01.2022 On 13 November 2020 our Townsville and Cairns teams got together for our annual "retreat" (a.k.a. as training and planning) day. Although there was a lot of wor...k done, we were lucky enough to be able to squeeze in a revitalising movement session with Jasmine of Sundalah Community Townsville and a fun painting lesson with Catherine of Townsville Art Classes who helped us to paint one of our all time favourites - The Notorious RBG. We might be biased, but we think they turned out pretty damn good. See more
