22.01.2022 Different perspectives matter problems always have many facets to them

21.01.2022 I was experimenting with some double exposure photography today. To do this I allow multiple exposures to occur within my camera settings, and then I take one shot, followed immediately after with another. You can also create a similar double exposure image using photoshop. But here, it is constructed within the limits of the camera, in a more experimental and spontaneous way. Myles was my initial subject today. I asked him to pose in front of a plain wall, outside the house.... Then I took a second shot of something more expansive - first the jacaranda leaves, then the clouds. It is always interesting to see what happens, and what the effect is. The layering of the images, sometimes yields unexpected transformations. These images, I feel capture the ambiguity of these strange times. In the context of COVID19, and the isolation many of us are experiencing, there is a need to pray that nature will be restored to balance. The primary truth of nature is that everything exists in cycles. When we look at the moon, we are reminded of this. When we observe the life cycles of all living things, we are further reminded of this. We can only pray that truth will be revealed and natural order will be restored.
