08.01.2022 My artwork 'Ghost Schooner' was highly commended in this year's Maritime Art Awards. The exhibition can be viewed online at https://gallery.missiontoseafarers.com.au/ 'Ghost Schooner' was inspired by a visit to SW Tasmania where the schooner 'Lourah' was wrecked during a fierce storm in 1899. The work is made from seaweed paper using seaweeds gathered from the shipwreck site, combined with ground charcoal.

The commemorative events, 'Poor Souls', an exhibition at the King Island Cultural Centre, and 'Fathom', a performance on the waters of Currie Harbour, were originally scheduled for this week, but have now been rescheduled for March 2021 as part of Ten Days on the Island.
