25.01.2022 Loved shooting this book, a 4 week reset (which I’m going to do... one of these days... no really I am, it just makes sense) Beautfiul food. Such a pretty book with art direction by @meganjpigott for @macmillanaus by author @ahealthyview . Styled by @vanessaaustinstylist food by @msmayohnaise. 22.01.2022 At first I wondered if it would be an invasion of peoples privacy shooting here on the Ganges. After all, its a very Holy place and people come here to bathe and pray. It didnt take long before I felt it was ok... old mate centre frame confirms this. People dont mind at all, in fact they were happy to be photographed and I felt welcomed. #canwetalkaboutthecolours #ganges #india #varanasi #anythinggoes

Even if I cant speak the language I make sure people see my camera and know my intention and with body language you can tell if they are happy for you to shoot. Its just good practice as a photographer and nice manners as a human. Shooting at the Ganges at dawn this man asked me if I would photograph him and his family. A lovely turn around. So sweet, I only wish I could have given them a copy. @beyondthecrop for #bts

13.01.2022 When youve been a photographer for longer than youd care to admit (I did start very young!) you have a room in your life that is stacked high with boxes of #film, #transparencies, tear sheets, #magazines #camera gear, prints... the list goes on. Im trying to get it down to a small box. Im drowning in it. Like who is ever going to want a medium format transparency of a bathroom shot in Canberra in 1998. NO ONE. Right? Its gone. #imissvogueet (remember this @brendanmoar )

12.01.2022 We arrived in Varanasi on the first day of Shravan month. In the Hindu calendar this month is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Pilgrims make the journey to the Ganges to bathe in the river wearing orange. When we arrived at the Ganges this morning at sunrise there was a sea of orange.

11.01.2022 So we drove past this old house on a mountain yesterday and immediately enquired about its story and the possibility of shooting there. After driving up for a closer look there was no one there. Our Indian colleague spoke to his father who knew the owner, a phone call and two hours later we had the key. So this was our location for today. Amazing. Built in 1923. The centre part of the house now has a shrine, see in my Insta stories.
