25.01.2022 Visiting Las Vegas for the Global Training Conference with Arbonne and I can't walk past one of my fav shops, Paradiso! It has the most divine one off items of clothing and accessories and is so very 'Vegas'. Lots of bling and excess as you can see in the pics but I love it. I may have purchased a few key pieces. Lol. #VegasStyle #ILoveShopping #Bling #GirlStuff #LoveVegas

24.01.2022 Off to Melbourne today! Looking forward to styling some gorgeous ladies at Diana Ferrari in Melbourne and spending some time with my Arbonne 'sisters' tonight! #lovemyjob #makingadifference #innerbeauty #style #shopping #stylist #personalshopper #fashion

24.01.2022 Foundation Perfection 101 If you struggle with applying your foundation for a natural look, don't worry - it's a common problem. Youll need to prepare your skin by cleansing and applying a moisturizer. You can also add primer too which will minimise pores and ensure your make-up lasts (12 hours coverage usually). 6 Steps to Foundation Perfection:... Step 1 - Choose the right colour. As the name implies, your foundation is the basis for the rest of your makeup. To make sure that it acts as a blank canvas, choose a foundation that matches your skin tone identically. Try multiple shades of foundation on your jawline (rather than your hand or your neck), and choose the colour that matches your skin tone without blending. Let the foundation absorb for a minute before checking the colour as it may change slightly when dry. Step 2 - Start with a small amount. You dont want a heavy, caked-on look, so its best to start with a little bit of foundation and add more if you need to. Dab the foundation on the centre of your forehead, under your eyes, and on your nose and chin. Step 3 - Spread the foundation outward. Start at the centre of your face and spread the foundation toward your hairline and neck. You can use your fingers, a brush, or a sponge to blend your makeup. No matter what you choose, you want to use a dabbing technique, which means gently tapping it into your skin, rather than rubbing or wiping. Step 4 - Blend your foundation. Use your tool of choice to blend your foundation around your face. There shouldn't be any noticeable lines where your foundation starts or ends; it should blend smoothly into your ears, neck and hairline. Step 5 - Conceal blemishes. Concealer should be applied after your foundation. Cover up pimples or other blemishes with a bit of concealer. Squeeze a small amount onto the back of your hand and dot it onto the blemish with clean fingers or a concealer brush. Be sure to blend it by lightly tapping the concealed area with a sponge or brush. Step 6 Set with a loose or pressed powder to minimse any shine and ensure longevity of your look. You are now ready to apply the rest of your look and add some colour to your face.

24.01.2022 All set up and ready to make a difference over the next 2 days at the Annual Conference for Australian Federation of Civil Celebrants in Sydney. Offering gorgeous mini make-ups and showcasing the divine botanical Arbonne range of skincare and cosmetics, I can't wait to spoil the female Celebrants. Love hanging in the city too!

24.01.2022 Winter fashion made easy. The key trends you should be wearing right now! The time to switch up your wardrobe is NOW & it is so easy to stand out this season with the right key pieces to bring your looks together. You will feel warm and look hot in no time!. 1. Over the knee boots - If you have the height and the legs for these, they are still cool and you still need a pair. Over the knee boots is one winter trend thats been on rotation for a couple of years now which gives... you great value for your investment. You can buy them in suede or leather and go for either a slouchy or skin-tight style. You should aim for nice neutrals that will make them easy to style with most of your wardrobe. 2. Soft suiting - This is perfect for your day-to-day work look. Elegant pants and a well-cut blazer are what you should be looking towards for warmer wear. Its flattering and you can easily add a big coat over the top when you step outside. 3. Waist it - Give your outfit more of a feminine touch this season by cinching in the waist and letting your silhouette shine. Own a cute oversized coat that needs an update? Looking to jazz up a top youve hidden away? Gather your box shift dresses and mid-length slips then wrap a nice belt around your midsection for an instant outfit change. 4. The one-colour outfit - Pick a tone and dress in it head-to-toe. I love the grey look pictured. Its comfort slash chic and youll turn heads wherever you are. 5. Denim and denim - Its never going anywhere, so if you havent caught on, now is the time to do so. Last season it was flares and this season its baggy, but whatever your preference is, find the perfect cut and buy some. Then buy them in another colour. Add a matching jacket and youre good to go. 6. The woven high-neck top - This is a turtleneck top made from a knit. These are easy additions to your wardrobe when you need to act fast. Can be stressed down with jeans/ leggings or up with a skirt or tailored pants. #winterfashion #fashion #winter #winterstyle #style

22.01.2022 Many dont enjoy Winter as a season due to the cold, but I love it due to the fashion. I enjoy layering and using texture to create different looks. I love wearing patterns, tights, boots, jackets and scarves... the list goes on! - What are your fav dressing tips for Winter? - Whats your go to look when the chill factor increases?... #lovemyjob #makingadifference #innerbeauty #style #shopping #stylist #personalshopper #fashion #wardrobeupdate

21.01.2022 Summer Dressing to keep you cool in the HEAT! Some great tips I would like to share to look current but also cool in the Summer heat. Keep it simple! 1. Keep your clothes loose. The looser, the better. The less fabric you have actually touching your body, the more comfortable you will feel. A flowy maxi dress will keep you cooler than a pair of shorts and a skintight tank.... 2. Avoid flimsy fabrics if you don't want your clothes to stick to your body. Lightweight materials are great for hot weather, but they need to have some structure (like embroidery or seams), so they don't cling to you the second you start to sweat. 3. Layer with open-weave knits. You'll look and feel great in this. 4. Choose clothes in natural fabrics. Cotton, for example, is more breathable than polyester or rayon. It's also better at absorbing sweat and dries faster, which means you won't feel sweaty for as long as you would if your clothes were made from synthetic fabrics. 5. Avoid embellishments particularly heavy ones like beads or metals. They tend to weigh down your clothes so they are closer to your skin, trapping body heat. Try wearing a patterned garment instead, which will add the same kind of interest to your outfit. 6. Wear a wide-brimmed hat or keep a lightweight, woven scarf in your bag. Drape the scarf over your shoulders or head whenever you feel like you're getting too much sun. It's so lightweight that you'll barely feel it. 7. Wear unlined jackets, skirts, and dresses. Not only is a lining one more layer between your skin and the air, it's often synthetic, meaning it won't breathe well. 8. Leave your large handbag at home in favour of a small crossbody or clutch. The last thing you want on a hot day is a huge bag to carry around, making you sweat. Take this opportunity to clean out your bag and get back to basics, since the less stuff you carry around, the less you will exert yourself, and the less sweaty you will feel as a result. 9. Cover up to protect your skin from the sun and keep cool. Direct sunlight not only damages your skin, it raises your body temperature. Sleeves are your friend. 10. Stick to light colors. Dark colours absorb light and can make you feel hot, while light colours reflect light and will keep you cool. 11. Wear minimal jewellery. Earrings are fine because they don't really touch much of your skin, but necklaces, bracelets, and rings are often more trouble than they're worth once the temperature rises. #lovemyjob #makingadifference #innerbeauty #style #shopping #stylist #personalshopper #fashion #wardrobeupdate

21.01.2022 Dress to Impress! Some days you just dont want to spend time on your hair and makeup before taking another 20 mins finding the right outfit. It can show when you leave the house. Dressing to impress, no matter what the occasion is a reflection of your inner drive, your self-worth and character. Taking the few extra minutes in the morning to look your best, even if youre not leaving the house changes your path to productivity. When you look good, you feel good and perform we...ll. Ive experimented with this is it's true. Ive had reason to dress to impress for two important first time meetings of late and even I can struggle with what am I going to wear? What will they think of me? Do I have the right look? Am I what they are expecting? This is most common when going on a first date or in a job interview situation. A potential employer may be looking for a specific look that complies with the company/ office culture. Will you fit in? It seems very shallow but statistics show that 55% of a first impression is based on appearance alone. When you need versatility in your wardrobe but your wallet has other ideas, use these wardrobe tricks to minimize your spend. Your wardrobe should fit your lifestyle, personal dressing style and the occasion/ event you are dressing for. Look for 60% of solid colors with 40% of pattern and have multiple types of accessories. For example, you can really dress up a simple black dress by adding a statement necklace or coloured pair of heels. When you have variety in the accessories department, you can make any outfit or combination of two old items look like a brand new outfit. #lovemyjob #makingadifference #innerbeauty #style #shopping #stylist #personalshopper #fashion #wardrobeupdate

18.01.2022 What's Your Skin Age? People always ask me how they can make their make-up look better than it does or how they can shave 10 years off their age. The 'secret' in my opinion is looking after their SKIN. Great skin can make a big difference to your overall image and a little but of TLC and the right choice of product will go a long way to retaining a youthful look for many years to come. The skin ages in two ways: biological or intrinsic ageing, and environmental. A comprehen...sive skincare approach addresses both intrinsic and actinic factors. Prevention and protection are critical to maintaining a youthful appearance. According to the American Academy of Dermatology Production of collagen and elastin slows down a dramatic 65% between ages 20 and 80. Thickness of the skin decreases 6% every 10 years. The sun causes 90%95% of the wrinkles, lines, as well as brown, red and white discolouration on our bodies. Intrinsic ageing accounts for 10% of visible signs of ageing. Many intrinsic factors are hereditary, with family background and history playing a major role. In general, the darker the skin, the less visible ageing will occur. Thicker skin does not show ageing as quickly as thinner, more fragile skin. Actinic ageing is caused by external factors such as smoking, excessive alcohol use, poor nutrition, and sun exposure, with 90% of premature facial ageing attributed to sun damage. Visible signs of actinic ageing include wrinkling, sagging, discolouration, pigmented spots, thin skin, spidery lines, and lack of colour. The appearance of actinic ageing can be minimised with proper sun protection and lifestyle changes. 16.01.2022 One of my all time favourite people who have positively impacted on the person I am today and the person I am striving to be both personally and professionally. I first heard him speak live when I was 21 and my personal growth journey began. I hope this resonates for some of you today. Happy Sunday!

14.01.2022 One of the things I enjoy most about traveling is the new and unique styles of clothing and accessories you can enjoy in another country. Fiji is a great example. While most resort boutiques will cater to tourists, you can always find some 'local' gems to tempt you and make a 'tropical statement'. Hope you enjoy these pics with gorgeous hand made bags, beautiful jewellery made with stones, pearls and gorgeous shells. Spectacular. #lovemyjob #makingadifference #innerbeauty #style #shopping #stylist #personalshopper #fashion #wardrobeupdate

13.01.2022 What is a healthy, younger-looking complexion? Its a composite score of overall skin appearance directly related to the level of hydration or moisture content in the skin, measured by the appearance of: Redness Pore size ... Skin tone Lines and wrinkles Texture Whats Your Anti-Ageing Stage? Regardless of your age, its always important to hydrate, exfoliate and protect your skin to slow the appearance of ageing. Start ages 18-29 yrs Fine lines start to appear around the eyes and lips. Skin will still produce sebum or oil, and will have a healthy cell turnover every 1425 days. Acne breakouts may still be an issue. Lifestyle choices, such as sunbathing, smoking and alcohol, will also impact skin health over the next decade. Moderate ages 30-49 yrs Collagen production starts to decline by 1% every year, resulting in the appearance of more fine lines and wrinkles. Cell turnover slows to 30 days, which can lead to dehydration and dryness. Signs of past sun damage, such as brown or age spots, may start to form. As collagen and elastin production continue to decline, skin loses resilience and ability to snap back. Repetitive movements, such as frowning, squinting, or cigarette smoking, form the first permanent wrinkles. Hormonal changes can trigger dryness and sensitive skin. Wrinkles, age spots, and uneven skin tone become more apparent as cell turnover slows down further to an average of 45 days. Advanced ages 50+ Menopause can trigger a 30% reduction in collagen and a dramatic increase in dryness and dehydration. Gravity, along with a decrease in collagen and elastin production, causes skin to sag. Exposed skin has mottled hyperpigmentation and age spots. Oil-producing glands become less active and skin becomes drier, more fragile, and more sensitive to environmental stresses. To learn more about the best suited complete anti-ageing regime for you, comment below or send me a PM. I can also be contacted direct on ph. 0421 186 581 and would love to assist. #arbonne #botanical #makeupfun #makeupmasterclass #makeuplesson#arbonne #crueltyfreecosmetics #puresafebeneficial #lovemyjob

12.01.2022 The cooler weather is coming and Autumn will be upon us FAST. In just a few weeks, the warm weather will be a distant memory, and well be reaching for ankle boots over open-toe sandals. The changing of the seasons is a new opportunity where you can have a re-think about what you want your autumn fashion vibe to be. Work out which trends you want to invest in, and then make a short list of what suits your dressing style and lifestyle and make a shopping list! I invested ...in a gorgeous denim jacket to hip bone length this week from Diana Ferrari and can't wait to wear it when it's cooler. You can also look through magazines and browse the shops as the Autumn drops come in thick and fast. Search your favourite people online too. To help you prepare your autumn style, here are my Top 4 fav new season trends so you can start your shopping list early. 1. Romantic - LOVE lace, love flowy dresses & blouses. The fabrics will be girly/ pretty with layers of ruffles and tulle too. This trend gained popularity towards the end of 2016. Wear with opaque tights and ankle boots or layer with over the knee-high boots (coming this season too). Add accessories with substance. 2. Velvet - was so popular for the northern hemisphere winter that you may not want to wear anything but this fabric once the cooler weather hits. I've seen it in accessories, shoes and clothing so there are so many options to try that suit your style best. 3. Leather - you can't go wrong here ladies. LOVE my leather jacket as I always feel chic and current in it and it gets LOTS of wear in winter. There are some great styles around and also not just in Black. Camel or burgundy are popular too this season. Be sure to invest as your cost per wear will make the investment worthwhile. Look to spend $400 - $500 on a decent jacket. 4. Sweats - easy dressing and so comfortable. Love layering with a sweat/ cardigan and perfect for weekends/ travel. Easy dressing at its best and dress up or down with key accessories such as scarves, belting, statement handbag. Love Winter dressing. Bring it on! #Autumn #AutumnFashion #Fashion #WinterFashion #SydneyFashion

10.01.2022 I've been a little quiet on my page for a few months as I was heavily booked for Personal Styling Sessions at Diana Ferrari stores. I love helping women with their wardrobe, makeup and shopping challenges! Looking forward to some exciting new projects starting in 2018. 09.01.2022 Make-up Made Easy with Cathy ... Here are some of my go-to tips that I share in my group make-up masterclasses. Take the stress out of looking your best and literally put your best face forward. It's easy when you know how: Tip 1 - Pick your Foundation with care. Never test on your hand or wrist. Always test on your face and ideally in natural light. The colour will be perfect if it sits nicely on your jaw and there is no obvious difference between your face and your nec...k. If you need a second opinion, ask away. Tip 2 - Pop an eye primer/ concealer on your lids. This allows your eye make-up to stay in place ALL day and the right colours to shine through without being distorted by your skin colour. Tip 3 - Mascara is a MUST. Apply from the roots to give length and thickness to the lash. Black is best. Tip 4 - Accentuate the cheek with a blush/ highlighter. A hint of colour on the cheek will lift your face and balance any colour applied to your eyes/ lips. I love using a highlighter on the top of my cheekbone also to add a hint of sheen and glow to my look. Less is more. Tip 5 - Pick your Tools with care - using the correct brushes will make your job so much easier. I love using a foundation brush to apply liquid foundation as it is quick, easy and gives an even application. A blush brush allows you to apply the product on the cheek only v's the entire side of your face (lol) and I have 2 different sized eyeshadow brushes (small and large) for the lids, large for the entire eyelid and up to the socket and the small brush for under my brow along the brow bone. When you know what to use and where, it's so much easier. If in doubt, please reach out and stay tuned for new small group make-up masterclasss dates in June/ July. #makeupfun #makeupmasterclass #makeuplesson #arbonne #crueltyfreecosmetics #puresafebeneficial #lovemyjob

04.01.2022 Make-up Brushes made Easy. Some simple tips to keep your application fast and easy (& make-up kit in check). 1. Streamline your brushes - you only need a few to help you with the key areas of application. If you are unsure what it does, get rid of it. 2. Buy the right brushes for you - as above, only have the necessary brushes in your kit. 3. Clean your brushes often - a simple wipe on a wet paper towel will work but clean well at least fortnightly with shampoo and condition...er - lay them flat to dry. 4. Don't soak your brushes. 5. Pay attention to bristle length. 6. Use a brush for foundation and concealer - this will allow better coverage and a more even application. 7. The wider the brush, the wider the coverage - put simply use a small brush for small areas of the face, big brush for bigger area. #lovemyjob #makingadifference #innerbeauty #makeupartist #makeup #beauty #eyemakeup #makeuplooks #arbonne

The Fundraising sessions are a great way for community and sporting groups to raise funds for their cause with 20% of sales at events going direct to the group. If you are interested to know more, please let me know. Events are available at all DF stores Australia wide.
