25.01.2022 Saturday’s annual inspection on big Tones stunning Cessna 190. He can twist a spanner and drive a rivet this bloke Thanks Tony Middelton for the work

25.01.2022 We got the station plane from Tibooburra going, overhauled prop, magnetos, carb, new aileron cables, battery cables, spinner and front and back plates we also fitted a power flow exhaust system larger nose fork and Tyre and a lot of inspections and repairs. It hasn’t left the station for quite a while and has 8000 hours on it, after this work the 140 can get back to mustering Cattle and goats again.

25.01.2022 The Cubs finished and the Archers in for 100 hourly Ad’s the annuals due in October so it good utilisation , both of these planes fly over 100 hours a year. Mark hard at the engine inspection and service. In the private category you can fly unlimited hours per year/annual inspection, you just need to comply with Airworthiness Directives.

25.01.2022 Mark hard at it changing all the Aileron cables as there freyed around the pulleys

24.01.2022 Annual inspection on the Pitts S1S today so its ready for the training after Corona, it’s got a smoke system, high comp pistons (200 hp), 3 blade Cato prop, locking tail wheel. The Performance is a little better than the Cessna 150.

23.01.2022 First start and it started very easy we test flew this arvo, with a few adjustments after (prop rpm, idle speed and idle mixture setting). We’re going to do a few hours in it tomorrow to run it in. We did an engine change, 100 hourly inspection, IFR checks and fixed many problems with this machine. Thanks for the work Ralph.

23.01.2022 We have finished these 2, both quite big jobs to get them right, it’s great to get some jobs finished!

23.01.2022 Mark cutting laps in his 150M, after carrying out the Cessna SID’s. Good to see it in the air.

23.01.2022 Al Taylor from The Rock (86 years)a great pilot, in for some work to his nice Cessna 150E, thanks for the work and your wife Heather for the slice.

23.01.2022 Mike Costin’s Cessna 182A, Biult in 1957 5500 hours TT It’s in for an annual inspection...nice old plane Thanks for the work Mike

22.01.2022 Big Al gets his fastest toy back, it’s test flown, washed, fueled and it’s looking slick like Al. First start of the 550 engine upgrade, we have the fuel pressure gauges on to set up the Hi low fuel pressures and the prop balance gear on. Thanks for the work Al.

22.01.2022 Mark and Bruce Scott Jabiru-ing Thanks Bruce for the work

21.01.2022 What legends Chuck Yeager and Bob Hoover were, some words of wisdom worth sharing I thought for fellow aviators. Learn as much as you can (help fix your plane and read the flight manual), know the weather and limitations and fly a lot and you will crate your own luck

21.01.2022 Mark hard at it cleaning the firewall ready for paint, got to be ready for the engine once it arrives that’s the way we roll

20.01.2022 This 172H owned by Colin Smith of Kyneton was sitting at Maryboura for 8 month with an expired maintenance release, Ken Munn from Hay (in the picture bellow) flew us there in his Cessna 400 Corvallis, we pumped the tyres up, changed the oil and did the airworthiness directives then flew it home on a permit, it requires the Cessna Supplement inspection documents SID’s done, it’s a nice old plane so it should be back in the air in no time. There was no water in the tanks and it performed faultlessly.

20.01.2022 3 for show 2 for go (Prop) with Dave Spence’s Bonanza’s, it’s in for a service.

20.01.2022 Full hanger atm, annual on the Cessna 188 Agwagon, C172h waiting for the log books but the SID’s is done, Cherokee 140 cruiser annual, the props away for blending of stone damage and repaint, magneto 500 hourly and carby not shutting off at idle cut off these are away for repair. The 140 is a much loved station plane that hasn’t left the station for 10 years! But it’s a nice late model 140.

19.01.2022 Mark changing the heater control cable for the cabin heat, most twins have a heater that burns Avgas to warm the cabin, need that this time of year. Lots of work to be done to this machine. (New aileron cables, flap tracks and an annual inspection, it’s a high time plane at 10900 hours but in very good condition)

19.01.2022 Graham Wellings the owner of VH-PEB since 1984, he’s done over 4000 hours in this Arrow. Graham and Wife Maxine owned the Whitcliffe’s pub for 40 years and only recently sold it. PS don’t mess with the Wellings brothers. 100 hourly service in and out in a day with 4 working on it, it will be back for some work in the next 6 months to keep the aircraft rolling fwd not backwards.

18.01.2022 We did some repairs in Wagga today to Steve Kitson’s (Kitson property Wagga) stunning Beechcraft bonanza. Has tip tanks and holds 430 litres (@ 160 kts and a 7 hour endurance you would nearly get to Darwin in 1 hop) and you won’t get lost with all the moving maps and screens! Thanks Steve for the work.

18.01.2022 We’re rebuilding the R/H flap off a Cherokee 140. We have been busy through Corona virus so we’re lucky. We also have more planes coming this week.

16.01.2022 Jobs coming up bellow Glenn’s 180 and our 188, theres also another nice A36 Bonanza coming and a nice Comanchee 260, Insurance job on Aircrops C188

15.01.2022 Flying the old banger 188 back from Hay, allot of control stick movement until anything happens in an Agwagon....well compared to a Pitts anyway

15.01.2022 Jobs finished lately

14.01.2022 Mark hard at it on a Jenifer Liard’s nice Tecnam P2008, we need parts from Tecnam to finish the job.

14.01.2022 Look what the Pitts/Catt dragged in, a Ferrari 488 GTB. Ken saw the Pitts flying around and came for a look. Ken fly’s a Cessna 400 Corvalis, we have done some work on it for him, before that he had a Comanche 400, not bad for a retired wood cutter. (Ken Munn from Hay)

14.01.2022 79 year old Joe Schembri from Wentworth (he’s as fit as a 21 year old thou) in for his annual inspection, the first time we have seen Joe and his nice Piper Warrior. Great to have the work from Joe and wife Helen. This job will be in for a few days as it needs aileron cables, AirBox and heater shroud repairs, we found nylon parts in the oil suction screen and have replaced all the nylon rocker shaft plugs which were brittle and coming apart. And another big job was getting the maintenance on our Aerotrack program to correctly track the components such as Engine, prop, magnetos and airworthiness directives and service bulitens

14.01.2022 In the Turbo Arrow, after a visit to 2 stations for work on the planes and we are all heading back to Deni, the Turbo Arrow is the top of the PA28 range.

14.01.2022 Piper Pa28 central atm, Peter McCrabb in for a flat nose oleo, Peter and wife Lisa are grazier just out of Deniliquin, they also have a property at Tibooburra, Peter is a Deni councillor and an all round good bloke.

13.01.2022 Ralph the wild computer programmer/consultant, he does 300 hours a year in this Mooney M20J (205), top IFR pilot flying out of Canberra, he says its the quickest Mooney M20J in Aus even with the old engine, he’s hoping to beat VH-MKP who has just had a new engine owned by John Smith of Wagga

13.01.2022 Mark’s Cessna 150m (9050 hours TT)he’s been doing the 3year and 5 year SID’s (Cessna structural inspection document)for 7 months on weekends, in the mean time we have done many Cessna SID’s in the hanger and he has gained a lot of experience, you learn fast when it’s yours. Mark’s 150 hasn’t flown for 5 years before today. About $10000 worth of parts went into the big girl.

12.01.2022 AJ (Adrian Vandersluys) in to town for an engine change, he does a few Aero’s this bloke (Screaming diamonds aerobatic team and owner of AV Builders Moama). The engines due for overhaul after flying 1900 hours. If you’ve ever wondered how to remove an engine from a Bonanza this is how.

12.01.2022 Linsey Wellings is here for his annual inspection 63.3 hours for the year! he has worn his own air route between Sweers Island and Darnum Vic, 3 trips a year to Sweers and a few trips to Broken Hill and flying his mates around what a life for a 75 year old retired sheared.

12.01.2022 Al McClean and I removing his Beechcraft 36 Bonanza engine, Al has a larger IO-550BB engine to fit , the plane will be 5 miles ahead of Al now! Another beautiful beech

12.01.2022 Phil Wilson’s Bonanza in for an annual inspection 80 hours for the year! (Motormatics Hay) Nice plane

11.01.2022 Michael Waggitt chief pilot for Execujet Brisbane, in Deni for a visit with his family, the Piper chieftain he’s flying had high oil temp, we found it had dropped an exhaust seat, we fitted a new factory lycoming cylinder tonight Thanks for the work Michael

11.01.2022 The Mooney flyer has an excuse to come to Deni again. Thanks for the work Ralph

11.01.2022 The old banger piper 140 did 4 hours today with Tom Seimer at the controls, 1 tree station to Deni, a few minor repairs before we left, its in for a new engine and to fit a power flow exhaust system, new spinner and rudder skin The Arrow went Deni-Morrabie Stn-1 tree stn-Deni 7 hours air time for the day!

10.01.2022 Test flight in the Chieftain with Michael at the control, it’s got no vibration now and it’s fixed the high oil temp problem on the left engine, now it’s running on all 6 cylinders. The Chieftain model has been one of the most successful types built by piper!

10.01.2022 Chris (Harro) Harrison (From Broken ill) doing the airframe annual inspection on Rob Gibson’s nice Archer 2. Thanks for the help Chris

10.01.2022 Todays job was on Breusties (Geoff Breust) Bonanza in Wagga, prop balance and a new autopilot cable, the media we out interviewing the wagga aero club members as they are going on a fly away starting this week end up to Karamba and many other places in between. Very active club. Big Tone (Tony Middleton) letting us use his hanger and providing some great help as usual. Thanks Geoff for the lunch and the work.

10.01.2022 Professor Tom Cocks (Retired) from Nathalia, was a specialist in cardiovascular and pharmacology (airways) and Piper Cherokee 140’s now. He’s Greg Regan’s mate but don’t hold that against him.

09.01.2022 Craig Coutts in for an annual inspection (from Computer office printer solutions Echuca C.O.P.S) we’ve done a fair bit to his 172M so we could get it done in a day. Thanks Craig

09.01.2022 We bought this weapon of a machine yesterday 1974 150L, just in case we don’t have work for a wile with Corona Virus, 7300 Hours TT, it has new control cables SID’s done but hadn’t flown for 2 years, we got a special ferry permit and flew it home from Wagga, it goes well but vibrates a bit (needs a prop balance) and the seat foam is U/S, so we will go through it and tied it up a bit. Might put NOS (nitros oxide)on it so it drags off Marks.

09.01.2022 Ralph back to get an EGT and CHT probe changed after they arrived, it can be an extra challenge with full engine monitoring to have all the probes/sensors working at the same time. He has done 12 hours in this plane since last Sunday when we finished the engine change. So no wonder he’s good at instrument and night flying. Thanks Ralph and everyone for there work stay safe in the air and be careful.

08.01.2022 Drilling out rivets and making way for new engine baffles . Dshannon engine baffles are more durable, cool the engine better and good!

I’m attempting to teach Freddy to run up my front and do a back flip.

06.01.2022 Steve Kitson in as his landing gear doors were slightly open and slowing him down while climbing and in the cruise they were also fluttering in the airflow, we also adjusted the fuels flows and got it running as it should. This plane came from W.A and now lives in Wagga, we have just started maintaining it for Steve. Thanks Steve.

06.01.2022 Well the Partenavia, I flew it to Bankstown for the owner Sirous Kousari as he is stuck in Melbourne with the lock downs, we had a few technical issues that took all Saturday to sort out but it was in the air Saturday late arvo and ready for the trip Sunday, met up with Ben Morgan from AOPA and had a look at there Hanger (at Bankstown airport) Ben has done a great job with it , Paul Bennet (Paul Bennet Airshows)picked me up in his Cessna 185 and took me to Cessnock for some training (thanks Paul for your effort and your great training style), Gerard Kitt and his wife Joe from KG aircraft sales had me to stay thanks and of course Warwick Calleia thanks for the ride home in the might Jabiru.

04.01.2022 This magnificent flying machine the Pitts S1S (seats 1 and has a symmetrical wing there is also S2 Pitts with different letters after the number designating engine or wing variants) We removed the pressure carburettor and put fuel injection on it, it runs so much better, it was flooding the engine with fuel anything below about 2000 rpm. Thanks to Victor Jones and Michael Jones for your help with the install and a thanks to Ralph Holland for suppling the set up.

04.01.2022 Hugh Cohen Ex airline and corporate pilot, (retired) now from Womboota (near Echuca). We rebuilt his R/H flap due to corrosion on his mighty Piper 140, it took 2 days to paint strip and prime and repair all the parts, then 1 day to rivet together. Thanks for the work Hugh.
