17.01.2022 SOME OF THE BENIFITS TO BAREFOOT TRIMMING: * Improved blood flow which improves your horses overall health * Greater shock absorption resulting in fewer concussion related injuries. * Strong healthy hoof walls * Minimises tripping and stumbling as your horse will be able to feel where its hooves are being placed.... * Most importantly is the resulting healthy, happy horse. 14.01.2022 Regular trim for my girl, Shine.

14.01.2022 Due to modern watering methods (tubs, buckets etc.) the horse is generally lacking the chance to stand in water once or twice a day. Because of this, the hooves dry out. With loss of elasticity also comes a partial loss of hoof mechanism and shock absorption and, in addition, contraction of the hooves may result. Lack of water to the hooves will restrict the flow of blood in the hoof making the hoof even dryer. ... If you live in a dry climate, it is SO important to provide your horse with exposure to water as often as possible: * Overflow the water trough. * Soak the ground where your horse eats. (A great way to keep the water from disappearing in thick sand/or poor terrain, is to lay carpet around the water trough or feed bin and soak it thoroughly. This way the water sits in the carpet longer allowing your horses hooves to absorb it.) * Access to rivers or dams.

14.01.2022 Here are a couple of photos to show the start of these ponies treatment. Wasn't able to get photos before the trim, respecting the owners choice. (PLEASE do not judge the situation, as this is solely to show people the progression of these ponies hoof care).

14.01.2022 Just a reminder guys that I wont be taking bookings from 24th Dec to 4th Jan. If you would like your horse trimmed before Christmas please contact me asap as I am almost booked out! Thanks :)

12.01.2022 Do you shoe your horse or go barefoot?

05.01.2022 Great photo from: No Hoof No Horse: This photo alone says so much about how important it is for you as a horse owner,to keep up on your horses hoof health up to date, imagine having shoes that didnt fit you correctly, forced you to step differently then how you should naturally,it wouldn't be comfortable at all & it is the same for horses to have healthy hoofs so they may move more soundly, comfortably & perform better as athlete's. https://m.facebook.com//a.73587055652300/870531656390223/

03.01.2022 Sharing with you that my own filly has access to water with her trough over flowing a couple times a week to soak her feet when she drinks. #nohoofnohorse #healthyhoof #hoofcare101
