14.01.2022 Over the past few months, I have really appreciated the opportunity to facilitate a 2 hour ONLINE Personal Energy Check-In workshop for a number of my clients to help them pause, reflect and put some strategies in place to help limit stress and build resilience within the team. The year 2020 has clearly presented unique challenges related to how we work - particularly when it comes to keeping our personal energy and productivity levels up. At stages throughout the pandemic, ...I have found myself moving in and out of Survival Mode quite a bit, whilst simultaneously trying to support my clients and keep things moving. It has left me battling reactive feelings of frustration, irritability, and overwhelm, which has definitely inhibited my performance and sense of well-being at times. From experience, these feelings eventually land us in the burnout zone - the worst place of all from which to perform. But facilitating these sessions for my clients has given me a genuine sense of purpose during the craziness of the pandemic, and it has been really nice to be able to help leaders to settle their teams down and focus on what’s most important at this time. If you feel this session might benefit you and your team, please don't hesitate to reach out.

04.01.2022 Over the past 6 months, I have been facilitating workshops (virtually) with workplace teams to help them develop measures they can put in place to support their energy levels and overall effectiveness whilst working from home through the COVID-19 pandemic. A key aspect of the sessions has been the importance of establishing effective routines that then become automatic. For me, my morning routine has been crucial in helping me to collect my thoughts and feel grounded, leadin...g to a more positive and productive day. An 8am walk down to nearby St Helen's beach in Geelong with my wife Tash and 2 boys (Liam and Caden), as well as our Border Collie Spot, has become automatic, to the point where the dog now has his own swimming routine!! Check out his (graceful) entry into the water in the video from this morning's walk. As Psychologist Sabina Read said We can’t control the bigger picture but we can control how we break down our day. It’s the smaller things that are seemingly less urgent and less powerful that are actually the building blocks that create a sense of stability to help us navigate today. #mentalhealth #covid #leadership #workingfromhome #resilience #energy
