19.01.2022 What a great idea combining these highly specialised skills to create PACERS, a mental health response team who assist those suffering a mental health crisis, who may be suicidal or self harming. Our crew are always so grateful for the support of our friends in blue, and this is yet another way they are supporting our community, along with paramedics and mental health nurses and responders. Thank you for supporting our community and the people who need this care and support.

19.01.2022 In the lead up to RUOK Day and Suicide Prevention Day this Thursday, and every day, it's worth raising our awareness about the signs that someone may not be OK. Are they behaving a little differently? Are they more agitated or withdrawn? By starting a conversation and commenting on the changes you’ve noticed, you could help a family member, friend or workmate open up. Check out this video and the RUOK website https://www.ruok.org.au/ to learn more about what you can do to hel...p someone who is not OK. If you are interested in learning more about how to support those in crisis, St John Ambulance ACT will be holding their Mental Health and Crisis Support Training 16 September. Learn how to support those in crisis, or those who are suffering mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, suicide and addiction. 06.01.2022 Today is Thank a First Responder Day, and we are so grateful to First Responders across the country, who have dedicated so much to protect, defend and care for our communities. Our own CBR NightCrew members have supported the community and provided a safe place for those in need, but they have also required support at times and for that we'd particularly like to thank ACT Policing. Being a First Responder in Australia this year has been even more challenging, yet they continu...e to demonstrate composure and determination in very demanding situations. First Responders have families and friends who they often have to leave behind during stressful times, in order to protect, defend and care for our communities. Thank you to First Responders everywhere, and to the families and friends who support them, for all your efforts and the work you have done and continue to do. We are so grateful. #TAFRD #ThankaFirstResponder #FirstResponderDay
