23.01.2022 URGENT NOTICE - Positions still need to be filled Thank you to everyone who attended the AGM on Monday night via Zoom. You have all been emailed a copy of the minutes as well as the Treasurers Report and 2021 Fee structure. Following the meeting, the Executive Committee positions that still need to be filled are the following: ... President - VACANT Vice President - Melanie Walker Secretary -VACANT Treasurer - VACANT Registrar - VACANT Football Operations - VACANT This is very disappointing and we would like to highlight to all members that without the roles of the Executive Committee being filled the league will then be in a position to take over and we do not want this to happen. The outgoing committee are all happy to stay on until Christmas to help with a smooth handover, each committee member have a handbook of information and contact information and everything is in place ready for next season. We will be holding another meeting on Monday the 2nd of November at 7:30pm via Zoom (link will be provided closer to the date) to have these positions filled so we can notify SEJ. Please send through your nominations to Jackie Amos at [email protected] by Thursday the 29th of October to put up your hand for one of these positions so NWJFC can continue to grow.

23.01.2022 Good afternoon, There has been a lot of questions being asked about what members can and cant do as we start easing back into football training. We hope the following answers some questions. Please take the time to explain them to your children. EVERYONE to maintain 1.5m distance at all times.... Clean hands with hand sanitiser provided when you arrive. Balls sanititised prior to training commencement. No more than 2 groups of 10 players plus coaching and support staff allowed on oval at one time. Each team must document player names in each training group. Grounds will be divided into two halves through the middle. Coaches are allowed to work between groups. Training to be non contact with only football and cones allowed. Public toilets will be available with a one in one out rule. Any people waiting outside should be 1.5m apart. Hand sanitiser will be provided in toilets. Parents encouraged to remain in vehicles at all times. GET IN GET OUT! There is to be no mingling after training. Players must leave venue when training is over. All committee members, coaching staff and team officials will be compliant in the online Covid Training course. We encourage ALL parents to undertake this course. It only takes between 20-30min to complete. The following is the link: https://www.health.gov.au//covid-19-infection-control-trai Finally, we appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. Government, AFL and SEJ protocols are being reviewed regularly so please take the time to read any ongoing updates. We would also like to make you aware that when the state government release a new ruling it takes time to filter down to club level, anything from 1 -2 weeks. Lets all do the right thing and following these rules so we can get back to playing games! Kind regards, NWJFC Committee

21.01.2022 Good afternoon, Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and in the best interests of Narre Warren coaches, volunteers and 150+ players the Executive Committee has come to the tough decision to IMMEDIATELY SUSPEND all training and practice matches until further notice. This was not an easy decision to come to but the safety and welfare of all our players, volunteers and families is our number one priority and we would like to thank everyone for their understanding and patience.... We are also extremely disappointed to advise that the clubs Launch Event which was to be held this coming Friday night 20th March will also be CANCELLED. Unfortunately food, drinks, jumping castles and hundreds of children within close proximity of each other doesnt sit comfortably with the club. As this situation is a rapidly changing environment, we will keep all members up to speed with any information on our facebook pages and via email. The guidelines we have been provided at present is for a minimum 2 weeks (14 days) layoff but that may change. Once again thank you for your understanding and please stay safe throughout these uncertain times. Regards, Mark OBrien President Narre Warren Junior Football Club E: [email protected] P: 0417038948 W: www.nwjfc.com.au

16.01.2022 Hello Parents, Firstly I hope everyone is getting through this difficult time. It hasnt been easy but everyone should be proud of their efforts. As you maybe aware Premier Daniel Andrews has just announced that sporting clubs can now train with a maximum of 10 people, inc coaches, as of midnight Tuesday. As originally scheduled an SEJ Presidents meeting is being held tonight so hopefully we will have some more clarity on this situation. Our club is holding an Executive Co...mmittee meeting this Wednesday night to discuss all these aspects, including gaining permission from Casey Council for club and change room access again. I realise this is very exciting news as we desperately need our kids to return to physical activities but I ask for everyones patience this week so we can work out a plan of attack of what we can and cant do. Finally, while we sort through this I ask parents to encourage their children to head out to their local park with their mates for some kick to kick as of Wednesday. Regards, Mark OBrien President NWJFC
