25.01.2022 We are excited to announce the re-opening of Club activities Saturday, August 1st at 900am, now that Randwick Council have approved our COVID-19 safety plan. Before that however, we will be holding a member briefing online this Thursday, July 30th at 630pm (Zoom link: https://zoom.us/j/5659616369) As you may have seen, there's a greater public scrutiny on organisations complying with their COVID-19 Safety Plans in light of the growing community transmission that's taking pl...ace, so it's paramount that we adhere to ours. The Council will monitor us. As much as CBVA can provide resources and instruction to keep us all safe, much of the responsibility depends on individuals doing the right thing for our community. In the briefing on Thursday, we'll run you through what the Club expects from our members in relation to this. Finally, member registration is open via our website, and we'd highly encourage you to do so before the renewals window closes on August 31st. Thanks for your patience with this. 25.01.2022 The new CBVA Board held our first meeting yesterday and we are honored to announce the delegation of the roles: President // Robert Trzebski Vice President // Gareth Mann Secretary // Secil Yuksel... Treasurer // Blake Bentley Member’s Voice // Joey Josip Brajkovic First of all, we would like to thank outgoing Board members Anna Dahmen, Misha Kopecka, Tomek Wyczesany, Alexandra Neumann and Hernan Terrazzino for all their time and efforts. Secondly, we are excited to announce that we are re-opening the club’s courts very soon. We have received our insurance certificate from VNSW, and we are about to submit our COVID-19 plan to Randwick Council. Their requirements have changed slightly (for the better), since the return to community sport was announced for the start of July. We are hoping that if all goes smoothly (and quickly), we should be re-opening the Club by the weekend. Another highlight of our meeting was sub-committees. In order to spread the workload of the Board in particular areas and also to run events more efficiently, we generated sub-committees. Each committee will focus on a particular task or area, such as running the tournaments, IT or equipment etc. We're taking expressions of interest for now. We will need multiple people to help out with these sub-committees (approx 3 to 5 for each, with one designated leader). We will circulate more details about what these roles entail, and how they will be organised. It can be your way of contributing a little bit of your time to CBVA. The 5 sub-committees that we have prioritised for now are: 1. Equipment 2. Tournaments 3. Communications 4. Squad training 5. Member fulfilment In a nutshell >> !!! We need your help !!! Please reach us via e-mail ([email protected]) to express your interest to participate in any of above committees. Lastly, since we are close to re-opening, we would like to announce that renewing membership ($60) is open until the end of August. If you haven't renew your membership until that date, you will be considered a 'New' member and will have to pay $95. All memberships will be valid until March 30th 2021. You will need a new app to unlock the storage box, you will receive the access link as soon as you renew if you completed the induction already. 17.01.2022 Hey everyone, important update on the State of Origin Tournament that has now been rescheduled to Saturday 12 December 2020, mainly due to low teams registered and also due to the bad weather forecast. We apologise for any inconvenience and disappointment, but it is our goal to engage as many members as possible in the CBVA activities and so as bonus the Tournament on 12 December will be accompanied by a bbq and refreshments supported by the Club.... Just a quick reminder that these squads are our competitive squads which require continuous training and tournament attendance.
