24.01.2022 Gareth Shanthikumar (15) joined Year 10 students today for intimate discussions about masculinity, as part of Mens Health Week. Director of The Wynne Centre for Boys Health and Wellbeing, Liam Casson, said Gareth related well to the boys as they discussed language and attitudes of male culture and factors that influence relationships. Thanks Gareth for your positive contribution.

24.01.2022 Legendary Yachtsman, Jon Sanders (55), has made headlines today in The Australian as he faces corona virus lock down at the Caribbean island of Saint Martin during his 11th circumnavigation. He faced treacherous seas and high winds between Mauritius and Cape Town earlier in the journey. Now at anchor, Jon is reportedly bored witless and has run out of varnish but otherwise in good spirits.

24.01.2022 Our global network is connecting through tough times. Thank you to the old boys around the world who have shared stories with the Alumni Office of isolation, workplace adjustment and changes to society norms once taken for granted. Good has emerged too so please keep sharing. What is your experience as we settle into a very different normal?

Do you have a special message for Tom and David?

As the Director of Planning and Co-Curricular, Mark Morrissy has been maintaining social distance measures on campus since the students returned to School last week. No easy feat but after 30 years at CCGS Mr Morrissy has plenty of experience to keep the boys in line.

17.01.2022 The Year 12 Ball last Saturday was a welcome return to tradition following the disruption of COVID-19 over the past 6 months. Back in the 1950s Rowers and Prefects dances provided a welcome opportunity for the boys to socialise, but also offered a chance to raise money for various causes. Held in the School Memorial Hall amongst streamers and Chinese lanterns, the 1957 Prefects Dance was hailed a great social and financial success. Profits from the dance were donated to the War Memorial Fund.

17.01.2022 Daniel Whitley (19) has demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit with the establishment of his new business, Mobile Digital Sign Hire. Covid-19 put paid to gap year travel plans but Daniel has redirected his focus to Variable-message signs. The signs project a strong marketing presence and are relevant at the moment for end of financial year promotions or social distance messages said Daniel. The signs can also support traffic management, construction and events. Find his company listing on the OBA Business Network Hub or https://www.mdsh.com.au/about-us
