11.01.2022 LEEUWIN ULTIMATE CHALLENGE WITH A DIFFERENCE Early in 2017, dates for the Leeuwin Ultimate Challenge were released. The voyage is a five-day adventure specifica...lly designed for young participants (14 years and over) with sensory, intellectual or physical disability. In June, the Leeuwin Foundation invited a number of disability services agencies to partner with them on the annual Ultimate Challenge voyage over the next three years. Leeuwin CEO Carol Shannon speaks about the new partnerships. This is fantastic news for future Ultimate Challenge participants. 09.01.2022 Yesterday! 3 years ago! Literally on top of the world!! We had THE BEST TIME on this 3 day parent/teen trip. Time has flown by! The world has changed a little Cant wait to get back on STS Leeuwin II . Roll on freedom!! - but hey! while life working from home is weirdly quiet, at least I get some time to revisit my greatest passion. OK I'm likely a bit too "mature" to go on the "Student Leadership Weekend" in October 20, but if you have teens, check it out! After this lockdown, they'll need all the motivation they can get!! 06.01.2022 Are your kids doing leavers - this year or last? This amazing "Schoolies with Purpose" trip by Habitat for Humanity is suitable for ages 17 - 25, and is something they'll never forget. If you or your young adult would like to know more, please do come to our free information night - register as "GOING" below. Each participant is funded by their own fundraising efforts, and we will teach you how, with catch up meetings every few weeks, to make sure everyone is on track.
