09.01.2022 UPDATE, Thursday, 10 September, 6pm: Wow, Central Coast - thank you for your support! We have been overwhelmed by registrations. As a result, the initial 2,000 ...places in the Curby soft plastics trial are now full! Those accepted into the trial will receive a confirmation email by Friday 18 September. We know it will be disappointing for those who missed out on being part of the trial. However, if you have registered your interest, we will keep you updated on its progress. You will also be the first to know if we are able to expand the Curby program to all the Central Coast. Please note that the selection of households to participate in the Curby trial is partly based on having a representation of suburbs across the Coast. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Help us stop soft plastics going into landfill and our waterways! We're looking for 2,000 Central Coast households to join our trial to divert "scrunchable" household plastics like chip packets, cling wrap, food packaging and chocolate wrappers from landfill. Every participating household will receive special "Curby" bags and tags to store their soft plastics. These will be collected with the fortnightly yellow recycling bin. Instead of going into landfill, the soft plastics will be used in a number of ways, such as being converted into the oils and chemicals they were made from or used to create long-wearing products such as bollards, decking, outdoor furniture or signs. Registration for the trial closes 30 September. 07.01.2022 and today I heard it from a man muttering behind me.. that’s so extra. why the hell would you put your kid on a leash? Y’all know how much self control it too...k for me not to go off on his man?? 1. Mind your business 2. Refer to point #1 3. If that’s still not enough, here’s some more reasons. I put my kid on a leash so ALL of us can enjoy the zoo. I put my kid on a leash so she doesn’t slip away to an animal exhibit and get hurt. I put my kid on a leash so she can walk while I push her brother. I put my kid on a leash so some strange man or woman doesn’t try to grab her. I put my kid on a leash so she doesn’t become one of the 460,000 children that go missing this year. I refuse for my child to be one of those children so if one of those precautions is attaching a leash to her, SIGN ME UP. If you see a mother with a leash on her child, mind your business. She’s doing what she can to make this cruel, unfair world a little more enjoyable for her children. EDIT: WOW!! I wasn’t expecting this reaction but I appreciate the support more than you guys know!! Here’s the link to the child harness we use and LOVEEEEEE! Theres a lock and key that keeps them from being able to unbuckle themselves! https://www.amazon.com//B07G7Z29VB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Cf The stroller wagon in the picture is the Evenflo Pivot Xplore. Easily one of the best investments we’ve ever made!!
05.01.2022 Great tips for communicating with your kids.
